The room was a little bit small, but what can you do?

The Florida Hotel is a lovely boutique hotel in the new town section of Rhodes Town, a bit older but very well maintained and clean and comfortable. It's great value for the money. What really makes it special is the owner, Yvonne. When I arrived I asked if there was a laundry service nearby and she personally walked me to a laundry two blocks away. She also pointed out several restaurants in the area that she recommended. On top of that she gave me a hand-drawn map of Rhodes town that was very helpful. She really went out of her way more than once.

A fantastic location and a beautiful traditional Greek hotel run by a lovely family providing service above and beyond the "norm" Nothing was too much trouble for them. They were kind and generous and took great pride in their hotel and the service provided. I would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat.

My seven nights there went by too quickly! If I had to say something I’d say the bathroom is on the small size but it was perfect for me. If one is very big it may be a struggle to turn around in the shower!

The location was great, close to bus stops, shops, restaurants and the beach was about five minutes walk away! ! Yvonne, the lady in charge of everything was absolutely amazing and she did everything she could to ensure I had a wonderful stay! There were plenty of clothes hangers, a safe, a balcony with plenty of space to hang your washing! Spotlessly clean! Loved the ‘beach room’ where you can find ‘beach stuff’ and sunscreen left behind by other visitors…recycling in the best way possible! I really appreciated the little kitchen area and I liked the quiet pedestrian street! If I had an issue Yvonne corrected it immediately!

all was great

it was excellent, exceeded all our expectations. we had double room with 2 separate bathrooms and small kitchenette with all necessary stuff. Very clean (everyday cleaning). The location is perfect close to the old town, restaurant and the beach but at very quiet street. Staff (family running the hotel) is incredibly friendly and helpful. Thank you a lot!

The hair dryer was sticky though and handle dirty, probably from former visitors, but I assume I stayed in this facility before general cleaning. I would recommend general cleaning maybe more often though.

Cute lil hotel in the middle of everything in centre of the city. My single room was super cute. Mattress very comfy, stuff more then friendly.

The ants ewerr everywhere - but better than mosquitoes.

1. The staff! Especially the daughter of the hotel owner was very kind, especially when I was quite sad due to an incidence. 2. The extra miles: the hotel offers beach items for free to borrow and served welcome gifts. 3. The extra service: I needed more blankets as I was sick and even got local honey for free! 4. Safe from mosquitoes!

Wonderful family run hotel-probably the best hotel experience I’ve had in all my years of travel. The family running it we’re so friendly and helpful-they offered very useful tips for nearby restaurants etc which proved to be great recommendations. My room was spacious and had a small kitchen which was very handy. They also offered (free of charge) towels for the beach, sunscreen & insect repellent & beach items such as flip flops & goggles. This hotel is rarely available & I can see why it’s so popular. Wouldn’t stay anywhere in Rhodes-thank you so much for a joyful stay!

Shower facilities; shower head falled out easily from the holder and needed a bit of attention, shower curtains were bit outdated but clean.

Charming hotel and very friendly staff. Superb location near everything, on the quiet pedestrian street. Nice balcony to sit and enjoy breakfast (well worth the money 6€, they bring it to your room if asked). Little kitchenette and fridge were great plus, dish soap was provided. Room is good size and has enough tables etc. to place your items. Comfy bed.

Super friendly welcome from Yvonne and Victor. Excellent basic hotel in a perfect location only minutes from beach, restaurants,bars, old town and ferries. Airport a short 20min drive. Few frills but great value and would highly recommend as a base in Rhodes. Rooms were clean and had all necessary facilities. En suite was small but adequate. Beds firm but comfortable and air con a blessing. Ceiling fan also useful if required. Beach towels and sun cream available foc.

The apartment we stayed in and the small garden in front of it were perfect. Also the kitchen, bathroom and all the facilities inside the apartment were great. We also had the hotel breakfast during our stay and it was very rich and varied. Especially the homemade jams were delicious. The breakfast price was very reasonable compared to any other breakfast place in the city. The owners Yvonne and Christine were very welcoming and provided all useful information from check-in to check-out and made us feel at home. They also offer many products such as towels and sun cream for your use, which is very useful in terms of sustainability. If I go to Rhodes again, I would definitely stay in the same place. We did not encounter anything negative.

I stayed at the Florida Hotel for one week in early September 2023 and I highly recommend a stay at this hotel. I booked a single room which was spacious, clean and wonderful with its own balcony, table and chair. My host Yvonne gave me a huge welcome on arrival and was extremely helpful, providing lots of details and information on the locality, restaurants etc. Even though the weather was 35 degrees and humid outside the ceiling fan was more than adequate in keeping the room cool and fresh without use of the air-conditioning. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and I slept like a babe. The little winding pedestrian street outside was peaceful and quiet so that the doors to my balcony overlooking the little street could be left open day and night. The sliding insect door screen provided total protection against any mosquitoes so much so that I did not witness a single mosquito in my room during my stay. Beach towels, mats, snorkels, beach flip flops, sun creams etc and an ample supply of reading material in various languages are freely provided by the hotel. The location of The Florida is also perfect being just a short stroll to the beaches on both sides to the East & West and also just a short stroll to the Old Town of Rhodes. The Hotel is easily accessible by bus to and from the Airport. Thermai bus stop & the Main bus terminus each being just a 10 minute easy stroll away. All the facilities/ bars/ restaurants & shopping of the New Town plus Mandraki Port for excursions are within easy reach but with none of the noise and bustle. All is an Oasis of calm outside and within the Florida. I highly recommend a stay at the Florida Hotel and a huge thanks to all . A big 10 out of 10 for friendliness and helpfulness.

Everything was very clean, the apartament is spacious and very cozy, location central and it's close to everything, including the beach and the old town. Charming private inner yard and upper balcony. Host gave full detailed book of the city, with translations in many languages.
