Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaI was pleased with my stay.
I had breakfast one time. I fid not include that when I booked. I will next time I stay with Niki Hotel. The food was really good at the restaurant and the fact it was open late and vegan was much appreciated.

DenmarkOf the 9 items to choose from on the breakfast menu, not one day were they all available, and on one morning they could only offer yogurt with fruit (and we were not late any day, eating between 8-9 during our stay - considering breakfast went from 7:30-10:30). Oh, and if you are more than 188/6’2 you won’t fit under the fixed shower-head, but that’s not the end of the world…
Great location, walking distance to most key attractions and the nice places to dine or drink in between the tourist traps. Rooms are nice and clean, and everything works.

United States of AmericaI wish there were some drawers in the room for clothing like socks & underwear. We kept those items in packing cubes, but I missed having better organization. The open "closet" area was good for shirts & pants (over the hanger,) but I wear dresses & tunics. They were all too long to hang in that area. I take extra hangers with me when I travel for doing laundry in the sink. I used those on the edge of the clothing rack so the dresses could hang in the small area between the rack and the coffee machine. It wasn't the best solution, but it worked for our 11 nights. The other concern here is the wet room/bathroom. There is a drain in the bathroom area outside of the shower (in addition to inside) because they know the whole room gets wet when you shower. I always put our used towels on the floor to help with all the water. It's still fairly slippery. If I find myself in Athens again, I will certainly stay here, but I'll bring a bathmat for the area outside the shower.
Friendly & caring staff in a perfect location! I considered staying in Monastiraki so I'd be close to things. After visiting that area, I'm SO happy I didn't stay in that crowded & noisy mess of an area. Nikis Street was fairly quiet and it was a nice retreat after spending the day around hordes of tourists. This location allowed us to walk most places. Our room was not as small as I was expecting. It's bigger than most hotels in New York City! The bed was huge and very comfortable. Our room was on the 4th floor and I was very happy to have an elevator. It's not huge, but it's much better than the old cage-style elevator I was expecting. It holds 3 people comfortably. Finally, I feel that we made friends at this hotel. The staff were SO friendly and caring. They went out of their way to make us happy. I felt like I was staying with friends instead of at a hotel. Athens was warmer than expected and when we arrived the room was hot & stuffy. That combined with my hot flashes could have been a disaster. The hotel management turned off the heating system for me and then had the hotel system converted to air conditioning so I could be more comfortable. Another huge plus for us was the vegan breakfast. We ate 3 courses every morning and that kept us full most of the day. We only ate one other meal each day so having a hearty free breakfast really helped our vacation budget. Not vegan? Don't worry! They have non-vegan options too! I should mention that Winner's Vegan restaurant attached to the hotel is excellent for dinner. Avocado vegetarian restaurant has great options and is across the street next to a small organic food store. Also, on the same side of the street as the hotel is a vegan bakery, Holy Llama. For plant based & gluten free travelers, this is a great area!

United KingdomJust be aware that the ensuite is made of obscured glass, so when you have the light on your travel buddy can see everything you are doing in there, ha! Would be nice to have a curtain option on the outside maybe.
Niki Athens hotel is clean and modern, it is in a great location, and the staff are friendly. The vegan breakfast options were amazing, including pancakes! Yum. We will definitely stay again.

Location was perfect! Right near the Plaka, transportation and great pubs! Of special note are the staff. It is a family hotel and they remind you that each guest is part of their "family". The daily breakfast is indeed a treat made fresh for each guest.

United States of AmericaThe room was on the small side with the shower and toilet area being very small. The bed felt like stiff foam, but was comfortable enough to sleep on. There was no place for me to work on my laptop in the room, but there was a floor that had a small lounge where I could work. It was cold and the room heater did not make it particularly warm for my comfort.
I am vegan - location was good with Avocado restaurant right across the street. The included vegan breakfast was amazing, and so were the dinners. The Winners restaurant is connected to the hotel and serves the included breakfast and is open to the public for dinner. I can't say enough good things about the food - simply amazing!

PortugalNothing really.
The Niki is centrally located, a short walk away from Syntagma square and the Parliament. Metro from the airport stops in Syntagma so access is really easy. Acropolis and the olympic stadium also at walking distance. Room was small but confortable, with a nice balcony (with views to the buildings on the other side of the street). Breakfast was good and staff was very attentive and friendly. Good choice for anyone running the Athens marathon (bus for starting line and also finish line just 5 min away). Prices was fair.

IrelandThere was no shower door, so the bathroom ended up flooding after every shower, minor, but had to use the majority of towels to mop it up so it didn't flood the bedroom! No remote control for TV also!

United KingdomThe storage in the room is minimal i.e. one short hanging rack for clothes.
I loved the decor and my wonderful balcony. The location is perfect - on a cool street with good cafes and near lots of good restaurants and bars too. Despite the central location of the hotel, there were no noise issues at all. The a la carte breakfast was very good - you can order as many of the items as you want and it's all great quality. And even though a la carte, service was mostly very quick. The staff were friendly and helpful.

New ZealandNot fully plant based as it says in the website. Doors were not very sound proof. Early morning I could hear the cleaning staff chatting outside my bedroom (which was directly next to the lift).
Very nice boutique hotel. I chose it because they are eco friendly and has plant based menu for breakfast that was outstanding (is not fully plant based) . Very nice room and very friendly staff. Really good service and lovely room. Great location.

Lebanonthey are only 3 things i disliked which is the breakfast. As a tourist i would prefer a buffet in the morning instead of "A la Carte" and especially being an eco friendly breakfast where i was not very satisfied. Second, the shower's water shield glass is small, whenever i want to take a shower the bathroom becomes all water. Third, the bathroom door is very small and has no lock and it is not very duo-able.
Honestly the hotel is amazing, it is located literally in the center, we used to barely walk 5 min. Staff were super friendly!! As tourists they gave us tips and tricks on what to do, and they seem to care about their customers comfort and health.

IsraelThere wasn't enough storage space, was barely enough for my stuff, used my imagination and suitcase. Be prepared to see a wall from the window (I stayed at 5th floor), for me it wasn't an issue but maybe for someone else it would be.
Everything was perfect! The staff is super friendly, kind & professional. The room, the hotel and its surrounding environment are very clean, neat and comfortable. The breakfast is more than enough to start the day, delicious and fresh. Thank you for the wonderful stay.
