There is nothing to be not liked about Plaka Hotel - However, with convenience also comes some street noise that is typical of staying in any hotel within the city and can be easily addressed with earplugs and the fan running.

The hotel is in a very nice location with a very hospitable staff and convenient to walk to the major attractions nearby. Christina from reservations promptly answered our inquiries before the arrival and also suggested that it would be best to take a taxi from the airport rather than the metro. The breakfast is excellent with plenty of choices. While in the breakfast room, Eva at the front desk would be there talking to the guests to help plan for the day. She gave us very useful tips for journey to our next destination within Greece. The air conditioned room was comfortable as advertised. The rooftop bar has excellent views of Acropolis and Plaka neighborhood and has a good choice of cocktails.

Stayed in Family Room on first two days. Family Room is actually two connecting rooms with a bathroom in each room, double bed is too near the table & wall. A bit tight, but it has a balcony, which is a bonus. Managed to book Superior double room on the 3rd day. This room is spacious. So, try to book Superior double. Comfortable bed.

Location is near a church, a few mini-markets, lots of shops & restaurants. A very happening place. A few minutes walk from Syntagma Square where the X95 airport bus stop & Syntagma metro station are located. View at the hotel Rooftop Garden Snack Bar is stunning. Breakfast spread was good. Able to have very early breakfast before our day tours to Olympia & Meteora. Hotel was fully booked on the days we were there. So, book early. Overall, good. Will stay again.

The room wasn’t big but we knew that when we booked the room and it didn’t disturb us.

Great location, good breakfast. Best Acropolis views from roof. Christina from reservation was very helpful with offering us late checkout as we had an important online test for our daughter and didn’t have a solution.

Location Near the Monastriraki . If you go to Athens by metro,you would go to the entrance of the main of the metro.Go straght thriughvthe Restaurant name the Lagom go straght in narrow street pass Starbuck Supermarket named AB on the left .Then you can see the hotel on your left side. You can take the bus No25 pass the hotel Breakfast is Very excellent There are lots of choices : Coffee milk machine Ham Egg Greek yoyhurt , Local fruits,Bread and bakeries The room is OK You can see the view of Acropolis on he rooftop that open 24 hours and the rooptop bar open since 6 pm

We had a street side room and this was not an issue as the road noise was actually less than we expected. We did feel we could hear a high level of noise from within the hotel- particularly in the bathroom, not sure if this is to do with the ventilation system?

Provide a sofa or comfy chairs and coffee table to relax in the room. Tiny elevator but whatever, it’s an old building in Athens.

Nice big room. Location was exceptional, close to the Agora, street markets, restaurants, etc. We loved the breakfast. Amazing value.

The hotel was in the centre of Plaka District, 10 minutes walk from the Acropolis. Nice breakfast and amazing view from our room. Really enjoyed the rooftop too with lovely cocktails.

The hotel is located at the center so you can always return to the hotel, get a rest and then carry on your tour. Stepping out of the hotel, you fall inti Ermou Street and in 2 minutes to Monastraki Square. The staff is very friendly and are willing to help about any inquiries. The breakfast has a variety of foods to eat: honey, yogurt, bread types, fruits, eggs, cheese, granola, greek sweet pasty. It is a good way to start the day. Our room was cleaned everyday and it is important to me. I felt just like home. Thank you so much!!

Lighting in the room could be better. But it wasn't a big deal at all, we just opened the curtains to let in more light.

Fantastic hotel, located very centrally in Plaka. Literally everything worth seeing in Athens is at a 10-15 mins walking distance. The staff were really kind and super helpful. Always there to take requests and help. The room was great size and bathroom was great too. Shower was amazing! We are so happy we included the breakfast in our booking because the breakfast buffet was splendid. Apart from the general continental items they also had eggs, beans, sausages etc. Highlight of the hotel is the rooftop bar/cafe. We loved sitting there every night and marvelling at the view of the city, specially Acropolis. Probably the best rooftop view in the city as it is one of the tallest buildings and closest to Acropolis. Would 10/10 recommend. Superb value for money. Would stay here again!
