Needs a lot of maintenance

Thanks to the receptionists who solved our issues as had to change the room twice. Last room they gave us was phenomenal. Thank you again ☺️

It was a Little complicate to lock the Door of the room from outside.

The location was tight in the centre close to everything. The room was clean and the breakfast was in a bar very close.

Overall the stay was ok. The staff was nice, but did not respond well to requests (e.g. I said that daily room service was not needed, but they came anyway). Cleanliness was good at first glance, however the shower was covered in limescale and the corners on the floor were not thoroughly vacuumed. The bathroom smelled bad. The available kitchenette was a bit discouraging because of the mess, and the glasses were unwashed

The location is great and the breakfast at the cafe downstairs was delicious (italian breakfast). The room was large, the bed was okay. There was a fridge available. Nice Etna view from the balcony.

The street is the main commercial road of the city so can be a little noisy, especially on a Saturday - didn't disturb my sleep but you might want headphones. The shower was ok, but there is no shelf to put a bar of soap on. There are limited-time light switches in the stairs and corridor but I struggled to find them when I arrived the first night.

The bedroom was very large with high, detailed ceilings and a view of Etna from the balcony. The furniture was quirkily mismatched but everything was clean. Instructions to get the key seemed long but they were easy to follow. The old-style lift was a bit creepy on day one but I came to enjoy it! Would want to stay here again if I return to Catania.

Cold water in the shower and hair dryer which was switching off itself during blowing. Noise from the street.

Perfect location in center with a view on Etna. Testy fresh sweet breakfast in bistro nearby. Everyday cleaning.

This review is hidden because it doesn't meet our guidelines.

Breakfast was a drink and pastry (it was delicious, just usually expecting something more like continental breakfast). Hotel felt more like huge apartment with multiple rooms (with private bathrooms). The doors to each apartment was more like doors you use for rooms not outter doors for the apartment and knowing the vibe of the city itself at first it seemed a bit sketchy, but in the end all was good.

Apartment was really spacious, nice balcony view to the main street and Etna. Can get a little noisy during the night, but closing the balcony helps. Building feels very historical, nice high ceiling with a painting on top.

On the opposite side of the street there was a rather nice restaurant. The owner is Umberto.

Very hard to figure out how to get into the property. Keys did not work for the second entrance. Reception not easy to access and limited working hours.

Good location in the heart of the city of Catania. Easy to walk to all the nice areas. Room was spacious.

Actually I was at Sofia's on the 2nd floor (the same owner I guess). Very nice and helpful stuff :) Voucher for the breakfast at the coffee. Great location. Good quality for the price I paid

It was really loudly place because of the street and people, so we didn´t give you advice to come here during the weekends.

The room was in good condition and also close to city centre.

The location in the centre is great for exploring the city, but in the morning it can be very loud. They clean the room everyday but they don't mop or vacuum-clean the floor, so after few days it got quite dirty.

Very friendly and helpful staff, helped me book a taxi to the airport, found out if I could pay by card etc. Good breakfasts in the café downstairs. Very nice rooms.

I would appreciate more cleaning during our stay and also in the basemant of the building we found some cockroaches. (Not in the room)

The receptionist and stuff were very nice and willing to help. We had breakfast at caffé next to hotel, which was really good. The room was nice, with air condition.

I think we booked a room with balcony view but they gave us a room without it… we were little bit disappointed. Check-in was a little complicated as we arrived early and there was no one to open the door for us. Had to call a few numbers couple of times to get someone to let us in. I think this was a one time only but it was nothing pleasant to be locked out when we wanted to be able to leave our luggage

Very difficult interior to find the room, like a maze and also too many keys. No parking for scooters, no facility of drinking water. Ventilation was not so good

Toilet system gave off pervasive smell of sewer water - smelly but not overwhelming. Fairly unique water capture box at behind toilet bowl did not capture and romove toiletting smell.

Very helpful staff and great location and reasonable price. Large room.
