Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The bathrooms are clean, but I hope they would improve/renovate them one day.
The property is incredibly charming and clean. It is located in a quiet street but is also walking distance to all the sights. It is very near shops and restaurants/cafes. Best of all, the staff are super helpful and wonderful!

The place was very nice, clean, and quiet. The neighborhood is less crowded than the city center. We really enjoyed walking around the area, Piazza Santo Spiritu is full of fun!

Our stay was very comfortable and homely. The room is beautiful, furnished with old Florentine style furniture, the cleanliness is first class, everything was very pleasant. Julia, the host, and her colleague are very kind and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful.Tea and coffee can even be made and consumed in the room.

We had also breakfast and it was very nice. But I think it could be even better to include some vegetables, eggs... even if tourists would pay extra money, I think they would appreciate.
The location is perfect, we do not have to travel to city center. I can recommend nice walks around and you save money for public transport.

We absolutely loved our stay at this charming B&B. The staff were very kind and helpful. The communication from the host was excellent, and they were very easy to get in contact with. They allowed us to drop our bags before the check-in which was really helpful for us. The room was clean, beautiful, large, and very comfortable. We were happy to find that the room had a mini fridge. The breakfast was also a nice bonus. The room is centrally located, very close to some of the main attractions, and not too far a walk from the city center. We would definitely stay here again if coming back to Florence.

The location of our accommodation was excellent, just a short walk to city centre in the quiet area of San Spirito. Staff very friendly and very helpful. Room was very comfortable.

The room was really big, the bed was comfortable. The room was cleaned daily without us asking, which was really nice. It was a nice surprise that we had breakfast included in the price.

Italian showers are rather small for well fed Northern Europeans...
Location is great. Close to the centre, but not in the hustle and bustle of touristic Florence. 5 minutes walk of Piazza santo Spirito with lots of places to eat in the Italian way (Do not grab a seat, but ask for it, or you will be send away.) or take food an beverages along. Hotel has nice rooms with high ceilings and a good bed.

The floor was a little dusty. That’s it…
The staff was great. Very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included for us and there was an espresso machine that was surprisingly great. 5 minute walk to Palazzo Pitti, 10 minute walk to Ponte Vechio, 20 minute walk to the Duomo, the location of this hotel was perfect. It’s on the south side of the Arno so the restaurants close by make for a cheaper option for a bite on the way to/from the city center. There’s also a mini market right around the corner so you can grab a bottle of water to keep in the mini fridge.

Beautiful rooms in a very old but modernised building. The staff was wonderful, so kind and helpful. Great location in Santo Spirito neighbourhood, surrounded by nice restaurants/bars and very close to Ponte Vecchio. Super comfortable bed and very quiet at night.

Missed the elevator and found the property on the expensive side, else we would've extended our stay.
Very spacious, neat and clean for a family of four ( 2 adults+2 kids) Location is great, just behind the stop for bus number 11 and close proximity to main attractions Boboli gardens was closest with just 3 minute walk Every morning Italian breakfast of fresh brioche, coffee, juices, fruits & yogurt. This was apart from any time available coffee vending machine. Both Julia and Soniya were very courteous and helpful throughout the stay
