The double bed is actually two standard mattresses and on the second night they started to separate, which made it a bit trickier to sleep on as a couple but it's not that big of a deal.

Great location, close to Ponte dell'Accademia. We could easily walk anywhere from here and quite enjoyed the athmosphere in the neighbourhood even more than in San Marco area. The rooms were spacious and nice, easy check-in and check-out, and a super friendly host who really made us feel welcome. The breakfast is served in your room which I quite liked, though don't expect a continental breakfast. What you get is a typical Italian breakfast of a cappucino or tea and a small pastry (croissant or bread rolls with jam in our case), which was more than enough for us. However, if you're used to a large breakfast buffet bear this in mind. In terms of price vs value, esp in carnevale season, we got a great deal. Most other options within a similar price range were outside of the city, and considering the price of a daily ticket for public transport + breakfast, I'd definitely recommend this place.

A lot of reviews complained about breakfast or humidity - this is an old traditional building so you won't find hotel services here. But we if you are aware of what you are booking, you won't be disappointed!

We really liked the location and the kitsch feeling of this locanda. The staff was very nice and communicative. I read a lot of people complaining about breakfast - you don't have a big buffet breakfast room, it's a simple tray left in your room, but it is quite charming to have breakfast in bed. We loved the place. Our room was bright, clean and airy (once you open the windows, it's an old building!), and had an ensuite bathroom which is not a given in this type of locations in Venice at this price point. We would highly recommend!

The room was amazing and very romantic. It was very spacious, clean and typically decorated to the city you’re staying in. The breakfast is simple but it has all the components for you to start your day in Venice. Besides that, the location was exceptional, next to everything but with some quietness. Finally, the host was very nice and let us keep our stuff in the place after check out which was very cool!

In our room there was no wifi connection only downstairs worked the wifi! I think in Venice everything is overpriced so thats why I think this hotel is a little overpriced as well.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They allowed us to check in earlier than the check in time! The location was really good! And our room was very clean! And we can leave our baggage in the reception after check out! Thanks for that!

Actually, our room was pretty small with the lack of daylight, but we've been informed about this feature before the arrival. The breakfasts are quite modest (pastry, jams and coffee), but it hasn't spoiled impressions of the place at all.

The host very attentive and has helped in solving all transportation issues. The check-in instructions have been received prior to the arrival, so that it wasn't a problem to find the place as well as get access to the room. Also, the location is very convenient, so one may easily get to different significant sights, restaurants and touristic places. The area itself is very authentic.
