Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaNothing
My stay was excellent. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. Large spacious hallways and lift. A good breakfast in the dining room at your designated table. Only a short walk to the entrance of Posterna 3 to take you to the up to the Duomo and old city. The hospitality was good and communication very efficient.

AustraliaNothing.
We visited during a VERY cold snap and the heating was on!!! It was glorious and a real luxury after our previous night when the host had no heating. The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom, although not new, certainly spotlessly cared for. I also loved the feeling of hospitality and love that you can only get in a religious location where nun's are very evident

NetherlandsThe room (and the whole building) is very spartan. But they announce this everywhere; it is not a hotel as such.
It has a good location, only some minutes walking distance to the city center. Good value for money. The breakfast is great; part is self service and part is not. Enough choice of croissants, bread, cheese, ham, yoghurts, cereal etc. The women I spoke to who worked there were all very nice.

IrelandBreakfast was quite limited. Machine coffee and a limited selection of cerials and fruits.
The location was excellent, within the walls of old Spoleto and close to all sites of note. The bedrooms were simple but comfortable. The bathrooms pristine and effective

GermanyI had a single bed, which was very narrow and made for a restless sleep
Short walk to town center, elevator to the upper stories, very clean and well taken care of facility. Breakfast was buffet style, with croissants, fruit, juice, cereals, etc.

United States of AmericaBreakfast is "controlled" by a person who doesn't let you touch anything and the food offerings are pretty processed like cereal and individually wrapped sliced stale bread, but I was still glad to have a breakfast conveniently provided downstairs. I had yogurt and a pastry and the fake-made cappuccino plus a few slices of cheese (to have some protein instead of all pastries). This breakfast detail is a small inconvenience because the place is otherwise a really good value and a nice stay for Spoleto.
Staff is super helpful and the facility is conveniently located. My bus dropped me off right near the entry, and I could walk easily to areas of the city. It has a feeling of a monastery and that is a nice feeling....there are nuns around.

United States of AmericaVery clean and peaceful. Perfect location, breakfast was good and you can go to mass as well. Everyone at the property was very nice and welcoming. They even had a coffee machine and vending machine with water and snacks for reasonable prices. Close to sights of interest and near the moving sidewalk/ escalators if you want to visit the sights at the top of the hill. Great stop while walking the way of St Francis.

United States of AmericaThe place is an active convent. It reminded me of Catholic School where there were rules for everything. You couldn't check in until exactly 1430, not a second earlier. I needed an EU approved electrical outlet by my bedside. The front desk not only told me they didn't have any adapters, but I would have to travel 12 miles away from town to find one. Thankfully, I didn't listen to the front desk guy and found a DYI store in town to buy an adapter.
The price was good. Some of nuns were really nice. Wifi was good. Breakfast was good. The room was really good except there was no EU approved electrical outlet.

GermanyBed was very small and seemed unstable. Staff did its job but was not particularly nice.
Great value for money but don't expect a hotel experience. Check-in was very smooth and I had all I needed. The breakfast was very basic but again, for the price the whole package was very good.
