Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The room was very dark, with deep brown walls. It is a very basic room—no refrigerator. We took the handicapped room, which provided a little extra space, but the shower was in the middle of the bathroom, so the floor was soaked after showering. They must put a squeegee in the room to help deal with the water. You have to dry the floor after showering.
The room is one block from the train station, and we wanted to be close to it as we arrived from Florence that day. They let us check in at 1:00. The staff was superb and helpful. They walked us across the street to a restaurant and called us a cab for the airport. It was good for the one night we stayed.

Noice clean trucks early morning. Not hotel fault just old noisy trucks.
Easy access to train station, metro and shuttle to airport. Many restaurants around. Very nice people of the hotel. Always there to help 24/7

It was exactly what i needed, good value for money. Room can be a bit cold and damp though as i was visiting in January, but hot showers and extra blankets make up for it.
Really good location : on one hand just a block away from the central station, on the other - a walkable distance to all central attractions, but you can also take the metro if you prefer. Room is small but cozy and well equipped. Staff is friendly and will assist with any issues. Appreciated the tea facilities and the piping hot showers with remarkably good water pressure. Good wifi speed Separate shout out to Caludio who was lovely and advised some must-see's around the city - thank you! :)

The location is amazing, perfect if you are just in the city for one night, but still would like to see some of the city. Near the main station, easy to reach, easy to find. I also loved the fact that it's a small family business, with unique charm, not a big chain with copy-paste rooms.

Extremely rough area with drug dealers , prositutes and thieves all around the hotel. Feels very unsafe to walk around in the dark

The elevator. It’s slow and you have to hold your finger in the button.
Staff was nice and bed was good. You also have instant coffe every day and house keeping.

Nothing as it was exactly what I was looking for. It was inexpensive, friendly and hospitable. I was not looking for amenities just a good comfortable bed to sleep located where I wish to stay.
I like that the location is very convenient to many of the things that I needed or wanted to get to. Also, if what I wanted to see is not close by it is either walking distance or there is the Metro as well as other ways to get around to those locations.

Owner is very nice. Changed my room as I had difficulty the 1st night (but other guests had no issue with this room). Helped me get a taxi as there was difficulty on that day. Always very friendly. Also gave me good advice for breakfast in a cafe nearby.

Bathroom was too small. Room was clean and all that but it had some "stale" smell.
Staff was really friendly and helpful (they recommended some restourants and arranged us a taxi etc). Hotel is close to Colosseum and other tourist attractions.
