Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ItalyIt was a bit noisy as close to the court.
I liked the location for sure. The steps were a bit difficult and you need to be in good shape to do this daily.

SwedenThe multitude of steps to reach the accomodation and also some steps inside (puh!) But, I suppose in Amalfi this is to be expected, since there is almost nothing flat and even in the City.
The location with a full view of the sea, the Amalfi harbour and the Dumo was amazing! The room was clean and functional but a little bit small for us two with luggage. A beautiful breakfast terrace with a seaview added to the experience. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was to our full satisfaction. The Porter service from the harbour to the hotel saved our arrival experience.

United States of AmericaRoom 11 had a great view to the harbor and coast to the east side of Amalfi. The terrazza was nice for breakfast and an evening aperitif. The room was comfortable and had an old world charm. I loved the tiles in the bathroom. It was quiet except just before breakfast at 8:00. The 77 steps up to the hotel were not bad. The directions to get to the hotel were perfect.

Perfect location in Amalfi township. Amazing views over the bay and ocean. Walking distance to the beach, ferry pier, restaurants, bars and shops. Our room had a small balcony, huge comfortable bed, roomy shower and lots of privacy. Staff were friendly and welcoming. A perfect stay in Amalfi!

CanadaWe were never informed of the amt of stairs (77) we had to climb to get to the hotel from the dock. It was staggering....fortunately a lovely girl helped us from the dock. I looked over my info from Bookings and found the stairs were mentioned on the last page of 4-5 pages, which only had 3 sentences which I did not read. This kind of info should be front and centre. Once we arrived the receptionist offered no help to us to ascend the final stairs in the hotel. We were obviously quite stressed! The woman who was helping with the breakfast was not welcoming at all, I would say the preference of guest was Italian....definitely not English speaking! I would not stay in this hotel again. I had the reception arrange help for us to carry our bags back to the dock when we left, which she did, I think! I had to get her to call the company to find out where they were. She was just so disengaged as they were late. The cost of that help was 15 euros per bag. The wifi was very random.
The view looked out to the small roadway and view of the water. Very nice. the room was a good size and nicely decorated. The food offered for breakfast was varied and plentiful. The town itself was lovely. Definitely take the bus ride to Revello, the view from the bus is stunning!

CanadaHaving you car parked and retrieved is not as they claim. We had to wait almost 2 hours even after they were advised every time the car had to be parked. We also waited 7 hours to get our baggages upon our arrival. We highly recommend not to use a car or use different garage service.
Great Location. Friendly hotel staff.

AustraliaThe shower head wasn’t the best, felt like needles pricking our skin and the water didn’t get hot. We had an issue with our air conditioning control unit almost catching fire one night but the hotel staff had it fixed the next day for us. Breakfast views were amazing although we did feel a bit rushed in the mornings, breakfast was meant to run until 10am but when we ate between 9 and 9:30 some mornings they had already taken away the table cloths and condiments. They then started house cleaning straight after breakfast so we felt we had to leave early if we wanted our room refreshed.
Location was perfect, right in the heart of Amalfi town. The view from our room was amazing! The staff were friendly.

United States of AmericaThe A/C took a while to get going, and if you don't like stairs, pick another hotel - counting the stairs inside the building to get to our room, there was a total of 109 steps up to the place! (Although they did send someone to help us get our bags up to the hotel the first day.)
The room was cute, clean, and bright with lovely views. Breakfast was good, and the staff was polite and efficient. The location was quiet, but near the marina and so many good restaurants.

AustraliaDue to the location, accomodation is expensive however this is relative to other hotels in Amalfi also. The shower was very low pressure aged, proved difficult to wash your hair with such poor pressure
Great location with much fewer steps than I expected visiting Amalfi as the hotel is not very far away from the port. Staff were friendly although did not have much contact. Breakfast was nice. Very close to restaurants and main beach

United States of AmericaThe Wi-Fi connection did not work properly in the room — we had to stand close to the door, otherwise, there was no internet access. The air conditioning was also not great; it often took a long while to get the room cooler, but that could be due to the rather extreme temperatures we saw in July 2023. Lastly, breakfast was OK but quite limited in terms of healthier food options. We were expecting more, given the prices we paid.
Very friendly, super helpful and polite staff. In that respect, the service was perfect; 10 out of 10. The location is awesome and while the room was quite spacious, it also had a very nice view.

United KingdomFine for us, but worth some people being aware that there is no accessible access, so you need to be able to walk up a fair few flights of stairs (but you will find this in most places on the Amalfi coast). Air con in the room didn’t get very cold so felt quite clammy.
So glad we chose to stay here in Amalfi - it’s in such a great location, quiet but central. The breakfast terrace is such a gem as it has beautiful views over the bay - we went up here to play card games over a nightcap most evenings and were surprised to have it to ourselves - so peaceful! Would definitely recommend choosing this hotel for an Amalfi coast trip. They also kindly helped post my purse back to the UK after I stupidly left it in the room!

United States of AmericaThe breakfast is decent, but without warm/hot part. No scrambled eggs, no decent bread. But there was cheese and salami, and cold boiled eggs cooked the day before. But there were some cakes from Aldi so if you can get by with improved version of continental breakfast that's the place for you. Any way it's better than going to look for the "warm part" on your own. Juices are very diluted, rather just drinks. Hair dryer and refrigerator in my room were broken and even though I stated my complaint the very first morning hair dryer was never replaced, and refrigerator was replaced on the last evening of my stay (of the day 4 out of 5). Looked like they were preparing for the next visitors, not taking care of me. So in general, I would say my concerns were not addressed, which was very disappointing, as hair dryer is important when hair gets wet and dirty every day after swimming in the ocean.
The location of this hotel is perfect. 2 min from the beach and steps are not bad at all, rather give you a good exercise.
