Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of America1. Really hard and flat pillows 2. Was planning on charging us city tax for our son until we did our own research and learned that children don’t have to pay 3. Charged me an extra 200 for a room for an upgrade for our 11 year old son. The original booking said the room was for 3 people, minimum 2 adults but they denied this 4. Room facing loud noisy street 5. The room is a death trap if there is ever a fire, to get there you have to take an elevator up to the third floor, and then go down two flights of stairs to get there. When I asked what to do in case of a fire, the guy said “go in your room and pray” 6. Some employees are unpleasant

Location is fantastic, right on the edge of the Ponte Vecchio Bridge. Everything you need is around the hotel such as restaurants, shops and a brilliant supermarket two minutes walk away. Hotel staff fantastic.

FinlandI have never seen such a small room without really a window. The bed was too short and beside the wall. Too tight for us!
Breakfast with a view was nice.

AustriaRoom without possibility to open the window, as it was facing a pretty dirty courtyard, super tiny bed that you couldn't stretch your legs, hair dryer wasn't working, very loud during the night - room is not insulated, so you can hear even the water drops of the ACs evaporating in the courtyard
Location was incredible

ItalyThe air conditioning. I booked this room because it said it had air conditioning only to find out they don’t turn on the air for another ten days. The description of the room should read “seasonal” air conditioning. The beds were like plywood and the pillows were about an inch thick and hard. I’m not kidding. The description also said the room had a balcony and we wondered why there were no pictures of the balcony. Well we found out why when we got there. It overlooks the backside of the apartments that are street side. I guess we got to see part of the real Italy. There were some idiosyncrasies with the door getting to the rooms which we were not told about which forced us to go back to the front desk, across the street, for help. Plus the lights were on timers in the hall so they would just shut off. Once we learned these tricks we were fine but a heads up would have been nice. There was damage to the floor right outside the bathroom door so you had to be careful where you stepped or you’d pinch a toe.
The room was nice and clean. It had shades and curtains to make it dark enough to sleep. Toiletries were very nice and restocked daily. The noise from the street was very minimal due to location which was great. Since the air conditioning was not turned on yet, they did find us a table top fan to put in our room for air movement. This was a life saver we very much appreciated. Coming from a cooler climate, Florence was very warm to us. They kept our bags for a few hours before we could technically check in and get our room. The spa tub was a bonus I took advantage of. Had a small safe and a place to hang and store stuff.

United States of AmericaThe room was nothing exceptional but not too bad. Pretty much what we expected. Room temp was a little chilly
The room was very clean and kept that way daily. the location was exceptional as close to where we could drive to drop the car off so didn’t have to walk too far with luggage. It was also just off the Ponte Vecchio, hence the name, which made walking into the old town extremely convenient. staff did provide great feedback to our pre arrival questions and concerns.
