Windows at the hotel and on many of the buildings in the area have metal electric shutters. You can open and shut them from inside your room. This is to protect your windows look out onto a terrace. Like most showers it Italy, the shower floor is slick. You need to be careful not to fall down.

The location is within walking distance of St. Peter's. You can see St. Peter's dome from your windows. The interior of the hotel was excellent, clean and modern. Everything worked. The room was spacious. Breakfast was well worth the price. Once we figured out the bus system transportation was a breeze. There's a market for the locals that is convenient and low priced. The hotel is a good value.

For me everything was fine we stayed only for 3nights.

- Hotel needs modernisation. You can see cracks in the walls/ ceilings. - There is a building site next to the hotel- luckily the work was not on during our stay. -The hotel needs a good deep clean- you can find loads of dust in the restaurant area. curtains, window sill, also loads of rubbish around the hotel building and it does not give a good impression, - The rooftop bar was closed and we were not informed about it.

I visited the hotel in April 2024 (3 nights) . The location is good - 10 minutes walk to the Vatican and you can take a direct bus to central Rome which is located in front of the hotel. What we also like: - Vito-receptionist - very calm, informative and professional worker. He can answer any questions. - Breakfast is average- but coffee was good. - Friendly staff. - Beds are comfortable and the towels and linens are new, white and clean. - Ci Piace (Bar/Restaurant) - very near the hotel! Delicious authentic - Italian dishes, big portions and they won't rip you off. Highly recommend.! - I would avoid Buona Forchetta restaurant.

Nothing to complain about

I recently stayed at Hotel Gravina San Pietro in Rome and had a wonderful experience. The hotel was impeccably clean, and the reception staff were extremely welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. The breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of items to suit everyone's tastes. One of the best features of the hotel is its location; it's within walking distance of the Vatican and Castel Sant'Angelo, which made sightseeing convenient. There are also a few good restaurants nearby, along with some mini-markets, which is great for quick snacks or essentials. While it's a bit further from other major attractions like the Trevi Fountain, Colosseum, Pantheon, and Villa Borghese, the walk is enjoyable and gives you a chance to explore the beautiful streets of Rome. Overall, I highly recommend Hotel Gravina San Pietro for its cleanliness, friendly staff, great breakfast, and convenient location near the Vatican. It's a fantastic choice for anyone visiting Rome.

Very noisy, they didn’t tell us anything about the construction next door and the road noise as well. No water heater, which is very important at this period of time. And for the price.. breakfast should be better.

A construction plot is right behind the window and starts at 7am. Low sound isolation - I heard water flashing in the adjacent room. Empty bar.

The room was clean. Rollettes on windows help to make it completely dark in the morning. The breakfast is ok.

1. Rooms are nothing like the pictures 2. Very old, stained walls 3. One morning, there was no hot water!!! Unacceptable for the price... 4. There was a blood stain on the cover..I didn't notice until the last day because it was cleverly covered (hidden between the wall and the bed). At that point, there was not point on complaining because I was already about to check out. 5. Some outlets dont work. So surprise surprise you may wake up to an uncharged phone 6. There is lighting on the floor. Which helps you see that they neither vacuum nor mop the floor and haven't done so in a while.

Several of the days after housekeeping cleaned the rooms, the door was not properly shut in order to relock the room. Thankfully, there was a safe we used in the room to hold all of our money and passports. Had it not been for this issue with housekeeping after cleaning, I would have rated the hotel a score of 10.

Great view of the city from the balcony and very friendly helpful staff! Very wonderful breakfast buffet every morning, too!

Their rooftop area was closed due to being off season.

Breakfast was standard and we enjoyed being walking distance to the Vatican. There are also restaurants really close and good for dinner. They also connect you with a driver if you need transportation. Their staff was very informative, provided us a map and circled main attractions. When we left the sent us away with water bottles and croissants :)

The hotel was great and exceeded my expectations. In terms of location, it was in a very good place and we could easily go to the city center with a bus. Very close to the Vatican. Very good value for money. Breakfast was good. Hotel employees behaved well and cooperated. If I come to Rome again one day, I will choose this hotel again and I will recommend it to my friends.

It's not the Hilton Hotel so you might hear noise from other rooms

Good location, very close to train station, and vatican. Also nice restaurants a lot cheaper than in centre. Very safe at night.
