Lack of tea and coffee making facilities in room.

Location of the hotel is perfect. 5 minutes from the Colloseum, close to public transport, near to lots of restaurants and bars. The hotel itself is small, pleasant and clean but what makes this hotel is its staff. Upon arrival we were greated with friendliness. We had arrived very early due to early flights but early checkin was no problem. The lady on reception was the perfect host providing us with a map and pointing out the attractions, informing us about public transport and giving restaurant recommendations (all of which we tried and were excellent!)

The staff and the location are the highlights of the hotel. Eva was really gentle with us.

Allen helped us check into our room. He was very friendly and helpful. He offered to answer any questions that we might have about our stay in Rome. He made recommendations of places to eat near the hotel. He offered to get us a taxi to the airport. The room was clean and close to the coliseum and a short walk to the Trevi fountain. It is also a short walk to the train station.

The shower was small but manageable. But this may be due to the age of the hotel and lack of planning permission to extend.

Staff were very helpful from the outset. Nothing was a problem to them. They advised us the best places to eat and visit. They accommodated to our needs, allowed us to check in at 12 noon, fresh towels every day, organised our taxi to the airport. The breakfast was lovely, grandma’s corner was something special. The hotel was set in an ideal location to all attractions and lovely bars and restaurants. I would highly recommend.

No negatives!

It was a wonderful location. More importantly the staff was terrific, helpful and caring. It is small family facilty with a lift. The rooms were comfortable with good air conditioning. It includes a breakfast.

Everything was perfect!!!! The place, the location, the staff…. Thanks a lot for making my stay in Rome so pleasant and enjoyable! The staff was extremely friendly and kind all the time, ready to help when you ask for something! The rooms are clean, the wifi works perfectly and the location is super convenient as is near to most of the attractions. I recommend this place 100%

The only potential concern is the room size but to be honest, I think if you want to stay in the old part of the city, you have to expect limited space. Everything was done by the hotel to make the most efficient use of space. Well done.

The location is wonderful. Less than 1 KM from The Colosseum, Trevi Fountain and many other attractions. The staff were all wonderful to deal with. Always available and more than happy to make restaurant recommendations etc. Also, taking care of booking taxis, dinner reservations and anything we needed. Cannot be overstated - the staff were just wonderful.

Loved our stay here. Would definitely recommend this place! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is within walking distance to all the tourists attractions nearby and restaurants. Very close to the Colosseum. Room is clean and good water pressure and temperature in the shower. Breakfast was satisfactory.

Extremely small bathroom.

The staff at Hotel Grifo were top notch. They were friendly, helpful, and very accommodating! The hotel was in a great location with easy walking access to many sights. The breakfast wasn’t my favorite but was adequate. The bathrooms were super small but we were only there to sleep so not a big deal. Bonus: there is a terrace on the fourth floor that is nice to sit and relax with a glass of wine. Definitely recommend. The staff make this place!

There is a small extra charge for toast and fruit at breakfast but this would be the only downside.

The hotel is situated perfectly for the Colosseum and Roman Forum which are both a 10 minute walk at the end of the road, and within easy walking distance of other attractions and monuments. The room was comfortable with a street view and the air conditioning kept the room cool during one of the hottest periods of the year. The breakfast buffet was nice and had plenty of variety and the staff were attentive in ensuring guests had enough to eat. There are plenty of nice little bars and restaurants around the hotel serving nice Italian food. The staff are extremely friendly and have a good knowledge of Rome so gave us plenty of recommendations for restaurants and the best sights and monuments to see, providing a handy map with everything marked out which was a big help and time saver.

The room was small but having said that when we booked it we we told it was a small double room which it certainly was!

It was in a good location for sightseeing. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Perfect for a two night stay in Rome.

A lovely place in the middle of everything that you come to Rome for. The location allows you to circle back to the hotel anytime and have a short rest before going out again. The staff are absolutely amazing and very helpful. It was my first visit to Rome and I got great advice on local places on my first day. The room was spotless clean and I have enjoyed the breakfasts. I'm a light sleeper and I found it to be very peaceful at night (even on the weekend).
