To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United KingdomBreakfast was a disaster mostly cereal and pastries. Room was very very small with the bad glued to wall, very noisy and dirty sheets. There was a nail sticking out the floor and I scratched my foot in the loose nail.

The reception dude was smiley and truly helpful, from finding us somewhere to stash our bikes and suggesting a very pleasant place to dine, to telling me how to cycle to the other main station for our next train, the TGV to Paris, first thing in the morning.

United KingdomThe air conditioning was not on in the hotel. we queried this and were told it was off due to government rule due to energy crisis. Other hotels had theirs on. When queried via booking.com, the hotel said it was only off one day. it didn’t work for the five nights we were there. We met others in the hotel who all said the same. Our room was front facing so it was noisy to have the window open. This tainted our experience somewhat. If it had not been for this my review would have been much better.

Italytoo small rooms for a 4 star. i do not think it deserves a four star. cleanliness is also not that of a four star hotel. there is nothing gross but still, attention to detail is missing. breakfast was mediocre, coffee was ok not the best. croissants etc were cold even at 7 in the morning. In summary not good value for money.
Not much. The location is ok. not too far from porta nuova but not too close to it either. complementary water and tea in the room was a nice gesture. staff was friendly both at the reception and in the coffee area.
