Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BulgariaOur stay was during Thursday - Sunday and unfortunately during the nights there was extremely noisy construction maintenance of the street in front of the hotel. During the hours 5am to 23pm there is tram on the same street and during Thursday and Friday night 23pm -3/4 am there was the noisy construction. So we didn’t really had a great sleep, it was way too noisy. I know the hotel doesn’t have a say in such maintenance, but still think there should be some kind of compliment by the hotel or price reduction for those exact nights. It would have been great if the floor in the room had some kind of carpet cause it was kind of cold when you walk in the room and also there weren’t any slippers provided.
The staff was very welcoming, helpful and positive. For long weekend stay the room was great, the bathroom was bigger than expected. I was personally happily surprised by the free water service. In the lobby there is free water machine and free glass bottles, so every guest can freely take a bottle and fill it with water for his room. This is such a great idea and zero waste option! Every hotel should have the same zero waste option for free water.

NetherlandsFrancesca at the front desk was really kind and helpful and gave great recommendations of non-touristy things we could do during our time in Milan. The whole staff made an effort to make you feel comfortable. It's a great little hotel, strategically located a short walk from the metro (two stops to the Duomo), with tram links to Central Station and Navigli. The breakfast selection was good and they were happy to cook you a fresh omelet if you would like. And there was cooler (also with sparkling water!) to fill your bottle on the way out the door.

SpainSmell. It really stank in the room and all over the floor and stairs. It was a smell of cigarette and something industrial. Room was too narrow, it was uncomfortable to walk around the bed and between the metal holder of the TV. (I always struck my shoulders) No holder in the shower for toiletries. You can hear your neighbors from the bathroom’s hood like if it would be a phone’s loudspeaker. Though there is sound isolation I could hear/feel trams during night…(our room was overlooking the street). If you sleep good - shouldn’t bother you.
Location was good, interesting district of Milan to discover, a lot of restaurants in 5-10min walking. Center of Milan was in about 20-25 min walking. It was clean. Free cold sparkling water in reception.

Germanynot clear recommendations where to find the restaurants area given by the hotel staff and a bit complicated parking solution we found a lot of restaurants only on last evening when you go out of the hotel to the right and turn first street left
Air Conditioning in summer is always good to have location - walkable distance to main tourist attractions and very vibe restaurant area small but cosy room

CroatiaThe room was really tiny, the bathroom was almost bigger than the room itself. The bed is very narrow, so we (my boyfriend and me) did not get the best sleep.
The hotel is located some 15 min walking to the city center, which was ideal. There is a garage close by they have a deal with, but it was only possible to pay for 24 hour parking, would be good to negotiate half a day price. Because of COVID, they serve breakfast in the room and it was good, the coffee was excellent.

TurkeyI would not choose this hotel again for this price. The rooms are too small, there is nothing additional in the room, no water, nothing. It is just a small room to sleep. The only convenience was the location.
Employees are kind, if you prefer to leave your bags after the check-out they keep it for you in a locked room. It was clean, the location is good.

United States of AmericaThe room was 77 degrees F the entire time. I told the staff the AC wasn’t working and they said it was intentional. Very uncomfortable. We had to sleep with the windows open but that meant hearing the train every few minutes all night long. Also the shower flooded for no reason unless we removed the drain cover entirely. Also you could hear every other guest use the bathroom or have a conversation.
The bed was very comfy and the water pressure was great.
