Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Internet connection was poor.
Breakfast was fine and although small the rooms were clean and neat. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times.

They have central AC which doesn’t cover the room at all. Bed was very uncomfortable as well. It was very hard to sleep at night while 39 degrees hot out there.
Clean and near to the metro station. Breakfast was good.

They turned off the air con early in the morning and it was still off as we were packing our bags and checking out at 11 so it was very uncomfortable and hot!
Great for our purpose - close to the train station for an overnight stay.

If you have mobility issues the lift stops between floors so you have to either go up on flight of down one flight of stairs depending on you floor
The hotel did everything you expect. Simple, clean, great location and good breakfast. What isn’t advertised is the wonderful Alex, who was on reception. He was brilliant and so helpful

The Air condition in the room was not providing a cooling effect..
The staff was very friendly, specially Ivano at the reception. He explained to us, in detail of how to go about the site seeing tours. The staff were ever smiling. The room was decent enough and the beds were very comfortable..Also iron was available at short notice. The best part is there is a laundry service right outside the hotel and also the Hotel is just a 2 min walk from Roma Termini..

Room had “aircon” but didn’t work the whole time was there. Even the fan turned all the way up was not really noticeable. Had cold showers too cool down and went to sleep with wet hair to keep cool-and it was only low 30’s (degrees). Also, an elevator was there, but stopped in between the floors. I could manage my bag but if you have mobility issues will still have to go up or down a flight of stairs from the elevator to your floor

The whole hotel it dated and needs a revamp. The beds were uncomfortable and the air conditioning was timed from 1pm till 12am. So it got quite hot overnight. There was no mini bar fridge in the room so it was difficult to have chilled water available
Elevator functioned well and the room was quite clean. Staff were very nice and would go above and beyond to welcome you and help you

The shower, toilet and washing basin are all squeezed in a small space. As an average size female, I had to get into the shower sideway, it was too small to get in. The WiFi was on and off.
The staff are very nice. The location was good.

The beds were a bit uncomfortable
It was very close to the train station and it had a descent breakfast. The staff was very friendly and the shower always had hot water. It also has an elevator which was nice.

Kept hearing the sound of the lift outer door closing each time someone uses it at night which is not the most pleasant.
In general it was a positive stay...clean hotel and very close to termini station. Single room had a terrace which was a plus considering the size of room. Breakfast had good croissants...not sure why milk is served hot though especially when having it with cereal.
