New ZealandThe property is in a corner of the main walkway back to the train station and bus stations making the lower rooms noisy but great for accessibility to get in and out if Venice.
Large triple room and close to train station. Bed was comfortable and plenty of eating options nearby and shops and water bus stops. Walkable to everywhere as well.. staff were really good and accomodating. They had maps available and were happy to answer questions. Rooms were quaintly decorated.

SwedenI wish they had a bottle of water a day, there is a fridge but it is empty. Would have been nice when you have a late night flight. There is an elevator, used it once, stairs are quicker. Other than that nothing to complain about! Had a really lovely time.
Very nice apartment, perfect location, close to train station where most stuff is still open at night. The location is nice because the street you take to the hotel is wide and lit up. Some areas / alleys are a bit spooky at night in venice, so I liked a lot this!

United KingdomDue to the time of year, (late April), the air con wasn’t available in our room and we only had access to heating which wasn’t necessary. Despite it being ‘cool’ in Venice (lots of Venetians wearing layers and big coats still) it still actually felt comfortably warm to us (we are used to much worse!) and we were sweltering in the room each night. Although we were warned not to open the windows because of the mosquitos, we resorted to doing this each night to get some fresh air.
The location is great and the property is very clean and modern. The staff were very welcoming and we felt at ease during our stay. It was a relief to be able to leave our bags in a secure place on our last day, as we had a late flight and didn’t want to drag them around with us. Would recommend.

United KingdomI highly recommend this hotel! We chose the hotel because of it’s location , it was 5 min walk from the train station and 25 min walk to St Mark’s square. On the check in date we were arriving very late after the midnight due to the late train, I have contacted the hotel and got their answer very quickly to not to worry and that they will wait for us to check us in. The room was amazing! Very clean and spacious , we were also given a room with a view to canal, which was a nice surprise for us. Thank you so much for that :) The staff was very helpful and friendly. We just loved everything about this hotel. I would definitely be coming to Hotel Marte again!

AustraliaTo enter the hotel there were a lot of stairs. It was difficult to carry luggage up. However, don’t let that deter you as there is a chair lift for those who may need it.
The hotel was located right on a canal with a fabulous restaurant right outside the door. It was clean and comfortable and the location was close to the train station, sights and shops. You can get a 24 hour ticket for the ferry. We went to both Murano and Burano. Just beautiful. Elmi was lovely and very helpful. We had a lovely stay and wish we could have stayed a lot longer.
