Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The quality of the breakfast could be better. Also coffee temperature. Internet connection was slow.
The location was very good considering a Metro stop very close. The people very helfull all the time. Size of the room for 3 was very good.

Breakfast shall improve to prepare more type of food. But overall is acceptable.
The room is spacious with double bathtub. Recommended to stay. Hotel close to metro station. But it is located slightly outskirt of Rome city.

room is quite small. I live in HK and even by HK standards the place is TINY. not a big issue since it’s got for purpose and has enough room to organise all of our stuff, but it is TINY.
staff was super nice. comfy bed. restaurant wasn’t functional ( only fit for simple breakfast).

Ok, breakfast but nothing special. Not worth the money. They have a bar but you don't stay at this hotel except for sleeping. There is basically nothing else to experience.
Nice clean rooms with good beds and AC. Modern and fresh bathrooms with jacuzzi and shower with good water pressure. Close location to Lepanto Metro station. A lot of nice restaurants and cafees within walking distance.

The hotel is very close to the Lepanto metro station which is quite convenient. The room and bathroom were large and comfortable; I loved the shower. Breakfast was excellent.

There is nothing to eat in the hotel at night, only breakfast is served. Maybe a vending machine might be good. Also the street feels dark and lonely at night.
The room was small but comfortable, the staff were very friendly and the hotel was clean.

The only fault I would have is that it was a little noisy early in the morning as the tram stops right outside.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. As I needed a gluten free breakfast I was catered for very well.

No flexibility on check in time, which I understand is subject to availability and can’t be guaranteed, but some understanding of the long journey would have been appreciated. We were not given the wifi password or any tips on where to get a bite / drink in the neighborhood or even direction on the bathroom for a quick break while waiting for the room to be ready for check in. TV didn’t work which we’d planned to watch in evening after coming back for the night to sleep but we were able to use wifi for streaming on our personal devices.
Great location close to sightseeing, metro, and restaurants. Walkable area with good public transportation as well. A good mix of restaurants frequented by locals and more “tourist friendly” locations all within a short walk train ride or taxi ride. Very quiet at night so easy to get a good night’s sleep after a long day of going around the city. Hotel was very accomodating in providing wine glasses for use in room for a bottle we picked up from a nearby shop. Great value and experience overall.
