Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaCan’t think of a thing!
We got exceptionally thoughtful help when the desk clerk arranged for us to get a generous breakfast early so we could catch a taxi to the airport. Also, our room was fantastic, with a fresco on the ceiling and in alcoves on walks. The extra space in our entryway with a sofa gave us a comfy place to relax. The sitting areas on first and second floors looked inviting and would have lured us to linger if we’d bern staying longer. The location was especially convenient.

United States of AmericaA minor issue, but some of the pictures on the website didn't seem to match what we saw in person, so my expectations were a little thrown off. I had trouble using a hairdryer in the bathroom (both the hotel's provided hairdryer in the bathroom and the dual voltage one I brought myself with an adapter). This was an issue in many of the hotels I stayed in (not just Hotel Morandi) - I believe it has to do with wiring codes for bathrooms. I could get the hairdryer to work in the bedroom, but there wasn't a mirror handy. When I asked the staff about this, Cristiano quickly solved the problem by getting me a stand along mirror, which was very appreciated.
We had a double room on the ground floor and it was very spacious, including the bathroom and shower. (There was finally room to move, as compared to other hotels we've stayed in during our trip). The room was clean, the bed was large with a firm mattress. We were able to adjust the temperature in the room with the thermostat, which was much appreciated. (This is another thing we were not able to do in other hotels we stayed at.) We also had a small private patio, but we never used it (rainy during much of our stay). Another plus - there was an extra set of pillows in the wardrobe in our room. The location of the hotel is very reasonable - close to many sights, but not too busy or noisy. We walked everywhere we went, including to/from the train station (about 20 min) with our bags. Duomo is about 10 min, David is about 7 min, Uffizi and Ponte Vecchio are a little farther away, but walkable. The hotel itself is on a fairly quiet street - there's not a lot of action right there. Breakfast was included, and we felt it was a nice selection of items. Appreciated the fresh fruit options. I initially booked a 3-night stay here, and subsequently needed to add on 2 more nights. The hotel (Roland) was able to do that for me, even though it appeared on Booking.com that they did not have availability for the additional nights.

South KoreaIt is a hotel that is a little far from the station but has more advantages. It's a great hotel. The service of the staff is also kind. The atmosphere is good, too. It became a happy memory.

SwitzerlandThe room was much larger than expected and was very nicely decorated. It took about 5 to 10 minutes to walk to the Duomo, which was nice because the buildings we passed were charming and there are many small stores. Also, the staff was very friendly and gave us lots of tips for the city. The restaurant where we ate on Roland's recommendation was very good! Highly recommended :)

IsraelNot the fault of the property, but there was no place to hang out other than the room.
Room was very spacious and clean. Nice warm and friendly feel to the whole property. Staff were very attentive and helpful and even threw in breakfast for my room even though we did not order it.

SpainIf you are travelling by car it cam be expensive to park. It cost us 54€ for two days. However, this has nothing to do with the hotel as cars driven by non residents are not allowed in the centre.
Perfect little hotel 10 minute walk from The Duomo and the old town in Florence. The staff were very friendly and the hotel a a quiet oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Florence. The breakfast was also very good indeed and served at your table rather than a buffet which I prefer. The hotel is decorated in a classic style which again was perfect for the stay in a very classic city.

United States of AmericaThe furniture looked a little worn. The room that we were in had a very small shower. I am not sure how the other rooms were. I'm a small person and I had a hard time moving in it. Can't imagine a larger person trying to shower. We were there for 4 nights and the shower was a challenge.
Overall, the website description was accurate. The hotel had a lot of charm and breakfast was wonderful. The staff was great, very helpful answering questions, recommending restaurants and addressing all of our needs. Location was good. I would go back again.

Loved the Authentic vibe, so beautiful and the breakfast was so lovely, served directly to you in such an old worldly way. We had a private patio with our suite, so after 10 days travelling we could wash some clothes and hang them outside.

ItalyNothing.
I like the location which is less than 5 minutes walk to the Duomo. You can find almost all amenities easily in the surrounding. The theme of the hotel gives you experience to stay in a typical tuscan apartment, with the fancy classic italian furnishing, not too big or crowded so that it gives more quiet and intimate ambiance. Most of all, everyone there is extremely friendly and ready to help you.

United KingdomNothing - everything was excellent with our stay. However, we have heard the hotel may be closing which is a shame as we definitely would have returned! We are confident that staff as excellent as this group will have no trouble finding other jobs and hopefully we will be lucky enough to bump into them again.
My husband and I loved everything about this hotel. The breakfast was a great way to start the day and the whole hotel was exceptionally clean. Our lasting impression was the truly fabulous staff - everyone we met was unbelievably helpful and exceptionally knowledgeable about the area and attractions. Maurizio and Christiano recommended several ideas for our stay which we acted on and loved (including the nearby ruins at Fiesole).

United States of AmericaI was hoping for a little nicer bedding and more updated restrooms. The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet - which was great. They offered a nice selection for breakfast, but the fruit was not ripe. Otherwise plenty of options for breakfast.

The two men who were at the front desk went above and beyond to meet our needs. Christiano greeted us at the front door when else arrived. He let us know our room was ready early and put us on the elevator with our bags and then met us at our room door to let us in. He detailed a map of the city along with food recommendations. Anything we asked of him during our stay was taken care of quickly and kindly.
