Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Turkey*The bed was not comfortable. *WiFi was not working in the room. *There are doors that you need to open with many keys, then you can access the room. We had problems because the doors were difficult to open. One night, we had to get help from other residents in the building because we could not enter through the outer door. *There are no employees at the hotel at night. Since we did not have a way to contact the employees, we had a very difficult time being locked out. *There was no table or chair in the room, so we had a cramped space for our needs, especially breakfast. *There was no shampoo and shower gel in the room, the minibar was empty.
*The location of the hotel was very good, it was within walking distance of many places we would go, except the train station. *The room had a sauna and a separate walk-in closet. *Host communication was very friendly, they provided the best support when we needed any. *There was an additional washing machine that you could use, it can meet the needs of travellers. *The room was a mixed design of classical and modern.

CanadaNoise from outside during the night. Ear plugs would probably have been useful if I would’ve brought some.

United KingdomSadly the mattress on the bed was awful, very thin and uncomfortable. There was also only one very thin pillow each, and reception could not provide any more.
Great location, lovely breakfast, very helpful staff.

United KingdomAir conditioning had a mouldy smell. It was loud and broke down during our stay. However they did send someone to fix it, although it slightly interrupted our plans.

United KingdomThe buzzer on the front of the building to get in doesnt work too well so we had about 15 minutes wait to get into the room but that was just because we weren't pressing the button hard enough, not really a complaint but more an awareness for future bookers would be good.
Nice spacious room with all facilities you would need, TV, Safe, aircon etc. Bed was really comfy and jacuzzi bath was nice to have with good water pressure in the shower too. Nice and clean with daily maid service and morning breakfast delivery great too. Also nice that we were able to leave our luggage after check out. Location was good too; very central.

United KingdomBreakfast was delayed 3 out of 4 days, which did not matter to us much but others might have tighter schedules so it might help to know. The room was clean but noticed some building bits left after refurbishment on top of the sauna and under the stairs.
The breakfast was good, although not always on time and we had to ask for it once as they were not aware it was included. The staff was very friendly and the room was cleaned every day. The sauna was ok.

United States of America- The room is clearly in need of some maintenance. I'm sure it was very luxurious when it first opened but in2022, we had wallpaper peeling off the walls, the fancy rainfall showerhead was very clogged and the fancy-looking body showerheads weren't functioning at all. There were no hooks to hangup our towels, no nightstands, and one side of the bed didn't have an outlet. - We also didn't love that there was no desk or table in the room but we were able to use the table in the common area instead. We also didn't have an iron in our room and had to ask for one for the next day.
- The location is absolutely amazing! It took us a minute to find the entrance at first but it's just a normal apartment door in the back left corner of the square and you have to ring the doorbell. The hotel is located in 2 apartment units of the house. It's right above 3 great restaurants and in walking distance of the Vatican and pretty much everything you need to see in Rome. Even the 20 minute walk to the Colosseum is very enjoyable. - We liked having breakfast in our room but on some days, the staff forgot some of our ordered items. - The room/suite had a lot of space and even a little walk-in closet which made it easy to really settle in and spread out. We had the suite with sauna (simply because that was the only one left) but my boyfriend actually made use of it and really enjoyed the sauna.
