Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Excellent location, next to Ca' Rezzonico Vaporetto (Water bus) station. A traditional Venetian style classic hotel with terrace. Most of the sightseeing places are walking distance (It takes 15 to 20 minutes to Piazza San Marco on foot). Easy access from / to the airport, about 1 hour by Alilaguna (Water bus).

United States of AmericaMy only complaints were pillows on beds, room was a little warm, and no breakfast included. Nothing major, we had a lovely time.
The room was great, with a beautiful view of the river. It was a little warm but we just opened the window. It was big and comfortable, my only complaint would be the pillows. We each only had one and it was very soft. I would say the price was in line with costs we paid across Italy, however, for the price it would have been nice if breakfast was included, there was the option to purchase, however it was a bit spendy if you just wanted something small. The staff was wonderful, very kind and helpful. The location was great, easy to jump on the water bus or walk. We had a lovely time in Venice, despite the rain.

IrelandThe bedroom might have been a bit larger.
Location is superb , a terrace on the Grand Canal and with a vaparetto stop outside the hotel, close to the Academia. The design of the hotel is quirky and in the style a minature version of the Danieli Hotel, which I have been lucky enough to stay in previously.

AustraliaThe aircon was set very high and was difficult to adjust- probably should have asked hotel staff to assist.
Dorsoduro is a great place to stay out of the thick of the tourist bustle. The hotel is located on the canal right next to the Ca'rezzonico stop. Close to the Peggy Gugenheim museum and many great authentic restaurants. We enjoyed walking to St Marks square as well as using both the ferry service and water taxi. Comfortable bed, helpful staff. We booked a superior double room. Didn't eat at the hotel so unable to review dining there. Hotel helped with booking some restaurants as well as an early morning water taxi service to the airport on departure.

United States of AmericaOnly downside is we had a waterfront room, and the water taxi that runs all night was a little loud when docking.
Quintessential Venice luxury steeped in elegance and history. An absolutely beautiful hotel with mosaics and frescos and Murano chandeliers. Very accommodating staff and quiet neighborhood. Easy access to public water taxi and wonderful restaurants nearby.

United States of AmericaThe 2nd floor of the story room was a always a bit warm. Understanding that it's an old building, a fan would be nice for the lofted space. The amenities listed a rooftop hot tub. We thought there would also be a sitting area. When at the hotel we were informed that the rooftop was private and you need to book ahead for 100 Euros for an hour.
The hotel is beautiful! Having a two story room was nice for 3 people to give us some space. The location was ideal and the water taxi we arranged from the airport was able to drop us off directly at the hotel since it's on the main channel.
