Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThey do not provide any amenities for kitchen, i.e. a coffee machine but no coffee pods, you have to go to the shop to buy them. No washing up liquid, sponges or t-towels for washing/drying up. A washing machine but no detergent. No full set of cutlery, just odds and sods of knives/forks etc. Plenty of plates and bowls weirdly, only two cups with saucers and two glasses. No kettle, had to use saucepan to boil water for tea (brought my own T-bags, sugar etc and bought milk from the local shop as none provided). Water flow from bidet hole in toilet pan not strong enough to come up high enough for use as a bidet. Stairs great for able body people but not so great for anyone with leg/knee issues or disabilities as high and quirky. Watch your head in little ante room of double platform area, I banged mine several times (even though there are signs up there to warn you) as ceiling beam very low.
Location is great, right near the Vatican and only 20 - 30 minutes walking across the river to the other sights. We had a Studio apartment for three adults, which was located inside the hotel on the 2nd floor and it was better than expected, a good size, two single beds downstairs in the "living room" area and a double bed on a platform up above overlooking the living areas, but with curtains to close for privacy. There is a full kitchen in the apartment . Nice shower room with good size shower, good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Toilet doubles as a bidet. Bucket of toiletries provided in sachet form, toilet rolls provided and changed daily, as were the towels and there were plenty of them, extra in top sink drawer. Two on wall TV screens, one up in the double bed platform area and one downstairs in the living room area., with a few English speaking channels, with Italian sub-titles. Quirky stairs up to double bed platform area. There is a little ante area off the double bed platform area, with hanging rail and drawers etc. Great lighting in the apartment, safe in wardrobe, plenty of wardrobe space and hangers. Staff were amazing, couldn’t do enough for you, from the gentleman who picked us up at the airport, Reception guy to the breakfast staff. Breakfast was really good, lots of choice, with an option of hot food as well (bacon, scrambled Egg & Frankfurter sausages). great coffee machine, fresh croissants. Great roof top area and bar with blankets for cooler evenings.

Irelandthe room was possibly the smallest room in the world, feel like it should be a single room, but apparently it is described as small maybe I didn't appreciate just how small it was.

PolandIt was extremely loud every night - the windows did not seems to close fully, and there was a lot of noises coming from the street- we were woken up few times each night by garbage trucks and nearby shop deliveries.
The room and bathroom were nice, the lift fun to use and the location of the hotel was great.

SlovakiaAltough all the rooms are claimed to be non smoking, our double room was full smoky. Couldn`t get rid of the smell even with open windows. The other members of the group didn`t have this problem. Beds were really hard, so if you like sleeping on hard mattresses, this is your place. Be prepared for stairclimbing. The hotel has a small elevator, but it can`t handle the crowd with suitcases. The reception is on the 4th floor. I don`t recommend booking a stay in Rome with breakfast, because they have plenty of cafes around with much wider variety of drinks, cafes and food, then a hotel will offer. Especially, when your stay is longer than 2 nights.
Dominic, the receptionist was amazing, helpful, always kind and smiling. Gave us good tips, was able to instantly book us a table for 11 people, which is in the crowded city with small size resturants not an easy task. The hotel was walking distance to Castle SanAngelo and the Vatican. Plenty of bus stations within walking distance, a metro station too.

United KingdomFriendly staff, great location and clean room. Within walking distance of all the sights, the coloseum was 45 mins away which is the furthest. Easy access to the Vatican and St Peters. Lots of restaurants close by and well priced. Good breakfast with choice of hot and cold food. Nice terrace on top of the hotel with views of Rome which you enjoy with a beer from reception. Recommend a room with a jacuzzi to relax after a day of walking. Would stay again.

RomaniaWe got this hotel specifically because it advertised a jacuzzi option, and our 5 year old loves jacuzzis - but they have a "no kids in the jacuzzi" policy, which is weird considering you're paying for the whole thing. There's also a bar on the roof which is supposed to be great, but it's closed in January - and that's not stated anywhere. So all in all there was a bit of false advertising. There are no accessibility options for strollers, either, so it's a bit of a pain getting up the stairs to the lift, which is up a flight of stairs (not on ground floor as you walk in). But accessibility is a problem everywhere in Rome, so can't fault this hotel in particular. Another issue is the receptionist's voice can be really loud (Italian, hey) and if you're in a room closer to the reception desk you're going to be hearing them talk with the guests, which is a bigger issue if you've got kids and there's a loud group coming in at 11:30 pm and they're chatting for 20 minutes really loudly. We had also asked for a cot, but didn't get one as the request was somehow not processed; they did accommodate us on the spot with a bit of a back and forth. All in all it was pretty decent and we may consider this again if we revisit.
The hotel is on a single floor, so there's hardly any noise from above (yes there will be a small creak or whatever, but nothing heavy or loud). The walls are decently thick so it's really quiet overall - with a single exception that I will mention in the other section. Everything is functional and decent - for the price you pay it's all ok.

SpainThe only thing I would have wanted could have been some tea and coffee facilities in the room. Apart from that it was excellent.
The location was excellent and it was surrounded by lovely restaurants and shops. The staff were very helpful and we had our towels changed and room tidied everyday.
