Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThere was no reception so you couldn't ask for advice about trips or restaurants etc. It was a room only so not really a hotel I don't think.
The room was lovely and overlooked the canal. A great location for exploring Venice for the first time and not too far from the water taxi at Rialto Bridge.

ItalyIn other parts of the world, at this level of service, you get a little more. Ie, free water or free coffee, or at least the hotel staff carries your bags when needed. We understand some of these things are uncommon in Italy (and we were totally satisfied with the hotel), but it would be a "nice to have", and sometimes European hotels should have a look at what hotels in other parts of the world offer, even for a "standard" room ;)
The hotel is in a good location near the city centre and the room and the bathroom were good. A satisfactory experience. They even recommended a good restaurant to us

Saudi ArabiaI was put on the 5th floor. The lift reach 4th floor so you have to walk up (regarding the bags there is a staff to help you. I came in winter and the room was really heated and was wondering were is the AC if I come in summer. It was something small in the corner!
The location is perfect. One of the best locations in Florence. The staff is amazing very helpful and friendly. There is a man to help with your bags as the reception is on the 1st floor. With multiple steps before reaching the lift

SlovakiaThe system to lock and open doors really would need to be modernized (we had difficulty to get in the hotel when we arrived because the personnel did not hear the doorbell, so we had to make a few calls and wait about 10 minutes on the street, and in the night we were locked out from our hotel room because on our floor there were two rooms and we before our door we had to cross an other door that was shared and the other guest closed it from inside, so again we had to make some calls in the night to get some help.) The rooftop terrace was not accessible because of reconstruction, we really regretted.
The stuff was really helpful and very polite. The location was perfect and everything was clean.

SingaporeI felt the house cleaning could’ve been a little better with replenishing. Breakfast was great but I wished they would provide different varieties everyday. I got quite tired of having the same food the third time.
The location was the best close to the attractions in Florence. The room I got was also spacious and quiet. It was a comfortable stay and I would recommend it. The hotel also had a lift which was very convenient.

AustraliaThe lift was tiny and always stopped on Level 1 no matter what you pushed. There was also a flight of stairs before you got to the lift - but I did notice a chair lift for those who couldn’t walk. Was just hard lugging our luggage up them.
We loved the location, walking distance to everything we wanted to see. The room was spacious and cool on very hot days. The breakfast was a welcome surprise. A good selection and cute little dining room. Staff were friendly.

United States of AmericaThere’s nothing that I disliked about the property. I suppose that if I could change anything it might be to eliminate those first set of steps to get to the elevator. (That would be hard to do though.) We did find some things that a previous guest left behind tucked into the back of a drawer in the wardrobe, easy to miss. The staff was embarrassed and very apologetic. We totally understood how this could happen and be missed. The room was clean overall. Be warned, there are mosquitoes in Italy… of course. We wanted to sleep cooler so we left a window cracked. Big mistake! This is not the hotel’s fault, just wanted everyone reading this to consider this. The hotel does provide bug zappers. We just thought it was cool enough not to worry about it. After the first night, we rectified our mistake. It’s an old building so you should know the walls can be thin in spots. We had very rude, noisy neighbors. We handled it ourselves by banging on the wall (the neighbors immediately quieted down). I’m sure that had we said something to the staff, they would have taken care of us.
The hotel is in a perfect location. We were amazed at how close we were to everything. Minutes from the Duomo, Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio, and more. The building is easy to access for the most part. There is an elevator but there are a few steps up to get to the elevator, so be aware of that. There is a lift for wheelchairs (we did not use it so I can’t attest to its functionality but it was present). The room was a good size with a fridge including a mini-bar with items reasonably priced. The beds were a bit firm for my taste. They were springy type mattresses. Some may like this. The pillows were nice. The attached bathroom was very roomy and had everything you might need (including a bidet and towel warmer). Shower was roomy with plenty of hot water at a nice water pressure. The breakfast was tasty and had a good variety. They never ran out of anything. We both had ridiculously early checkout times and the hotel had breakfast boxes ready for us. Really nice. All of the staff were very kind and accommodating (some more so than others). Cecilia in particular was wonderful. They will also arrange taxi service for you to the airport upon departure.
