Lack of electrical outlets at the sides of the bed in our room. I realize that it's a very old building in a very old city, but this is something in desperate need of an upgrade.

We only spent one night there, transitioning from Taormina area toward our flight out of Catania airport the next day. The Palace Catania staff were very accommodating though. We had a 6 am flight out the next morning, so the front desk prebooked us a taxi for very early the next morning, and they arranged to breakfast bags to be ready for us. Truly, and wonderful staff!

A great luxury hotel where everything is top quality, including accommodation, food, service and staff. Spacious room, very comfortable bed, coffee facilities, bath - everything I look for. The location is on the City's main street just a minute's walk from the Cathedral. The rooftop restaurant /bar has unobstructed views of Mount Etna and is impeccably run by the welcoming Luca (aka Yuri Chechi). Both he and Rita on reception epitomise the values of the hotel - friendly, thoughtful and nothing is too much trouble. We had a 4-night stay and were sorry to leave. I have stayed in many hotels and almost never leave a review but this hotel was exceptional.

Small point, staff were exceptional overall but service in bar on rooftop not so good. We waited a long time to be served, and servers were not overly friendly. Prices high on rooftop-drinks and food.

Fantastic welcome from staff, we were able to leave our case 24 hours ahead and it went very smoothly. We had an upgrade to a room with Etna view and balcony. It was gorgeous! Welcome flute of Prosecco in the rooftop bar too. Lovely facilities, fantastic breakfast.

Staff friendly and very informative. Bedroom a good size. Bed very comfy. Breakfast was very decent good variety of choices from the buffet. Location ideal for exploring the central area on foot. They also gave excellent recommendation for a tour company that does various day trips eg to Mount Etna.

The excellent standard an position,on the best street with spectacular views of great architecture an the most fantastic view of the live volcano Etna but the best was the atmosphere the staff from management,reception,restaurant and last but definitely not least house keeping provided such attention to detail an friendly approach that makes the hotel such a great hotel to stay at , so much so we booked again to to stay at the end of this holiday before we fly home , my wife an I couldn’t recommend this gem of a place more highly.

As our room was on the street side, there was noise in the evening and in the morning. The restaurant on the roof top is nicely located, but the food doesn't match the hotel standards, unfortunately.

I had a late check-in and I was greeted very warmly. The hotel upgraded my room category, it was incredibly pleasant. delicious breakfast. Stunning view of the volcano from the Rooftop restaurant. I chose this hotel just for this view and all my expectations were met

The hotel is located in a pedestrian only zone so unless you are aware that for the purpose of your stay at the hotel you are allowed to enter the pedestrian only zone, you will spend hours going around in circles within Piazza Stesicori. 😊

The service staff is excellent, very very cordial, professional and helpful. Very attentive to detail. Valet service provided. Always very clean.

The furniture is old, the walls have marks on them, the rooms definitely need a makeover.

The breakfast was delicious and very diversified. The staff were very friendly, smiling and willing to help all the time. The location is great, you are just in the heart of Catania.
