Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaWater pump was very noisy and thumped loudly at all hours - when you, or other guests, used shower, flushed toilet etc. Led to interrupted sleep. The shower (& the access) is so small that it is potentially dangerous. Bed head was broken - and bed was small (European?) Queen size - and not comfortable. Breakfast selection was very poor - prepackaged bakery goods, no milk on 2 days, no tea, fruit was old and inedible.
Location - literally right at the Colesseum - everything, including the metro, within a couple of blocks. Room was serviced daily and very clean. New aircon for late summer heat. Friendly staff/proprietor.

United KingdomThe continental breakfast was mostly pre-packed food but fresh juice, milk and yoghurts in the fridge were a nice touch. The shower in our room was compact and the step out from the shower was very small and extra care had to be taken when getting out. There was some noise from outside the window but with air conditioning on and window closed was not an issue.
The location for Rome attractions was perfect and only 150 metres from the Colosseum. A few nice bars and restaurants on its doorstep made it even better. The owners were extremely friendly and the room very comfortable.

United KingdomFirst night the air-con was hopeless, complained about it....... day 2 Gianluca had it ripped out and replaced with brand a new system. How's that for customer service !
Friendly helpful hosts, nice rooms, excellent location in the heart of the historic centre. After day 2 the newly installed air-con was also excellent.

United States of AmericaBreakfast was included but all the offerings were prepackaged breakfast items except for some apples that were a little old and wrinkly. The refrigerator in the breakfast room was barely cold and left the food items not very cold. The worst thing was the air conditioner, it never stayed on past 10-15 minutes and the room never got below 28C. It would automatically shut off and not come back on unless you turned it off and then back on. It was actually cooler outside than in the room. We had to keep turning it off and on all night just to keep it at 28. That makes it very difficult to sleep. My guess is that they have it set that way so you can’t use too much electricity but it makes it very uncomfortable when it’s time to sleep.
Location was excellent, about a block away from the colosseum. There was an elevator; which is always a plus when you have a huge bag. The owner was very responsive when there was an issue with the air conditioner, even though it was not resolved.

United KingdomWasn't bad but the breakfast selection could of been a bit better in terms of selection, and only 1 coffee available per day.
Great location, colosseum was literally at the bottom of the road. Supplied a cott bed as requested. Room was tidy and plenty of towels and air Conditioning was a must in the heat!! Host was lovely, explained where we was and the best way of seeing all the sights in the heat, using the metro etc.

United States of AmericaThe shower stall needs to be bigger. It is a small 3x3 foot cubicle with a narrow door and a double step up to get in it and you have to be careful getting out. Directions as to how to enter the building and where exactly inside of the building that it is would be very helpful. There is a small event area across the street that was pretty loud because of a skateboarding championship being held but earplugs and being very tired took care of that. American coffee is a jar of instant coffee.
Breakfast was continental style but good and convenient. Location was fabulous. If we stuck our head out the window we could see the colosseum one block straight down the street. We could see the colosseum from our window. Very clean and the hosts are great. Very helpful. The room is small but nice. Shower stall was very small but did what it is supposed to do. You have to go up the stairs or elevator to the first floor and to the right down a short hallway to get to the B&B. There is a cafe right next door and another a block away.

AustraliaThe shower stall was too small, and we are not large people.
As far as location goes, this place couldnt be better. Only a block from the Colosseum, we could walk everywhere. The metro and buses are very close and there are restaurants and bars all around. The street was relatively quiet, given its location and the room was quite big. Breakfast was included, it was sufficient, we didn't go hungry but it had a lot of pre-packaged goods, with some fresh items and fruit. There was also fruit juice and yogurt and snacks available. The communication before we arrived was excellent, step by step instructions on how to self check in with photos, and we were given a map and tips on where to go and how to get there. Very good service all around.

DenmarkWe could hear people passing the window if they were talking laudly. It was also easy to hear other guests passing the hallway.
The location close the Colosseum is superb. The room was clean and the bed was made everyday. Coffee and snacks were available all day. Short distance to metro with two stops from Termini central train station. With the price we paid for our stay in mind it was a great guesthouse we highly recommend.
