Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Our room (#40) was wonderful — attractive, charmingly & tastefully decorated, and very comfortable. The modern bathroom tucked in the room was spotless and functional, and the way that 4 single sized beds were placed with the sloped attic ceiling was perfect — this room and hotel were the perfect ending to our Italy trip. The hotel was easy to find and close to the train station so that we didn’t have to carry/wheel our luggage very far, on a quiet side street. The staff communicated information in advance (confirmed our request for single/twin beds, and provided walking directions). Reception staff were helpful, breakfast was good. Would definitely stay here again.

The only thing that could be better is the size of the bathroom, it could a bit a bit bigger. Nevertheless, it was recently renovated and add a modern look and thus, not really an area I disliked.
I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel as the room was decorated nicely and cutely, the breakfast was very good and the staff was super helpful. Although we are a bit far from the nice places to visit, we could still reach them by walk and in fact, we would only return at the end of the day. Thus, for us, it didn't matter that we were a bit far away as we would only return at the end of the day.

Nothing, was so lovely!
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Villa Rosa! The staff were always so lovely and helpful and they always had a smile on their face and happy to chat. The room was beautiful, we felt very comfortable. Location was great, close to the train station and water taxi stop and walking distance to so many things in Venice. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay, would stay there again!

Travelling with small 2 children. Hotel provided cot free of charge. Room was always clean and breakfast was good. Excellent location close to train and bus station so you don't need to carry bags to far. Staff friendly, I would recommend this hotel.

Note to self: since returning to any hotel alone at night along dark narrow alleys is not your idea of safety, then return while it’s still light. Seems to be true for almost anywhere in Venice and doesn’t reflect on the hotel

The breakfast was rather average.
Nice and clean room. Great location, just a few minutes away from the train station. Friendly staff, you can leave the luggage there before the check in, which was very helpful.

We did not have a bath tub and after all the walking we did we needed one.

Does not have an elevator. Although thats not a big trouble.
●Just 750 metres away from the S.Lucia Station (easy walk even with big luggage) ●Very beautiful room (clean and comfortable) ●The vaporetto station is nearby (just opposite the railway station) and a majority of the lines (destinations) are connected here. ●fair enough breakfast ●very friendly staff

We didn’t like the way the bed was made in the meaning that there were only sheets, very thin, the linen didn’t feel like recently washed (I mean it was clean, but the smell wasn’t like freshly washed linen) and also looked tired, needs update. No water in the room and no fridge. Pillows are thin and a bit tired
The property is very easy to find, super friendly and helpful staff, nice breakfast, cute interior , coffee machine is in the room, overall tidy and clean

Having to leave
There are so many hotels to choose from in Venice and we tend to chose simple accomodations since we spend most of our time outside of the room. This place blew us away. The staff, every single one of them, were so kind and so genuine. No hotel has ever made us feel so welcome especially as dumb tourists that don't speak the language. The room and breakfast we received was so worth so much more than the price. This was so close to everything but yet in a quiet, local area. We will come back and will stay for longer. We don't ever need to look for another hotel when we visit Venice. Don't hesitate to book if you are considering Villa Rosa.
