Location was convenient to Ikebukuro Station West/South exit and Limousine Bus service to/from Narita and Haneda airports stop at hotel [be sure to check schedule for buses that stop at the Hotel Metropolitan Ikebukuro as some do not stop at the hotel and you will have to walk several minutes to the hotel from Ikebukuro Station--worth the wait for a limo bus that stops at the hotel]. Friendly, helpful English-speaking (and other languages) staff. Clean and quiet hotel room and provided refrigerator, daily bottle of water, large screen TV with international and local stations, pajamas, and bath amenities. Has a small convenience store in lobby area and Family Mart and Seven/Eleven nearby.Across the street from train station with major department stores (Tobu and Seibu Department Stores) and other shopping. Many places to eat in surrounding area.

It was a little expensive, but I suspect the time of year we chose to travel impacted the price.

Beautiful hotel right next to the Ikebukuro station and easy access to Yamanote line. Most hotels in Japan are reasonably small like this one, but this room was very spacious for the size. Very clean, lovely amenities and TV with streaming services to enjoy after a long day. Bathroom is compact but comfortable and very clean. We didn’t get the breakfast included but enjoyed the buffet for one morning. The food was delicious with lots of variety. Added bonus was the airport shuttle to Haneda airport, very reasonably priced and saved us a lot of time to catch our flight home. Would definitely stay again in future!

Room was fully equipped with many amenities, shower was very powerful and warm, bed was very comfortable. The staff was friendly and accommodating as well! I really enjoyed my stay. The hotel was right next to the Ikebukuro MRT station and there is a laundry room and convenient store downstairs.

This is an excellent hotel with top facilities and a great location next to a major train station. We were lucky enough to have a room on the 24th floor which had great views of the city and even Mt Fuji on a clear day(once). The room was spacious and well appointed with great facilities and a very large double bed.

The hotel has a self-service laundry room for hotel guests which is great. But the room could be busy in the evening / late night and the washing machines (around 6 or so of them) could be fully occupied. However the actual washing time was longer than expected, while the dryer could not dry the clothes in one go and we end up extending the drying session for 2 or 3 times, and the clothes were still only 80% dry afterwards. The longer than expected washing time caught us off guarded

The hotel is very well managed. It is in walking distance to JR station and an area full of restaurants and shops. Facilities are clean and mostly in good shape (although a little bit worn). Big underground car park that never run out of spaces during our stay. Staff and services were great, very friendly and helpful. We had an emergency medical situation and the hotel is extremely helpful and efficient by helping us to find a good and nearby hospital, which was a great help to us. They were also flexible and helped us to extend our stay for 2 nights. When we check out one of the staff (who didn't help us directly with the situation) was so sweet and asked about how was our hospitalized family member doing. It was generally a great stay for us.

I booked the city view for 3 beds, the regular bed is high so it is not convenient for senior. The A la cart menu for the western resturant offers mainly beef with limited choices.

There is Airport Bus available , close to train and metro station. The shower is nice. I booked the city view for 3 beds, the view is good as I can see the sunset. The buffer dinner is quite nice.

All staff were good at English. Hotel provided good space and waiting Sofa for check in. Room was very clean and nice. The water in bath room is easy to adjust and not too hot. Hotel inform about the renovation room near our room this is professional way (contrast experience with my previous booking at Disneyland which noisy without notification in room). Hotel prepared the baby for about baby also!!!! Impressive

Beds in the Twin Room were smaller than expected so it was difficult to sleep with a child together in same bed. We thought about moving the beds but there was a very thick layer of dust under both beds, so clearly those are not cleaned at all.

A decent quality hotel for the price - convenient location in very close proximity to the Ikebukuro Station. Lots of shopping options within walking distance, such as department stores and other shopping malls. Abundance of restaurants and cafes as well, and a convenience store just in front of the hotel. Rooms were in decent condition, although a bit outdated.
