Unfortunatelly not what is was anymore before the pandemic. I stayed here maybe 20 times. Most showers and toilets are now broken, no breakfast anymore and the friendly staff is very noisy until late midnight with Indian music and talking on the phone loud at there private room. Checkin is difficult if you dont have internet or a local number because you have to call the number for someone to open the door.

Car parking is a municipal facility with online payment except when you park in the side lane nearby which would be blocked by the City clinic staff after 8am. So guests should be reminded to remove their overnight cars from the side lane before the staff arrive.

The twin room was clean and comfortable with the fan and aircon. I liked the shared facility of ironing board and hair dryer.

The bathroom facilities weren't great. One of toilet/shower door was broken for the whole time so there were only two available for the whole hostel. This meant there were always queues for them. Also, there was no toilet roll in either of the bathrooms. Cigarettes in the shower and generally quite unclean.

The hostel was in a great location. Good size room and beds. Security lockers for each bed and a key for the front door so it felt very safe. The lobby in the hostel is nice and there is free cold drinking water available. Not bad for a short cheap stay!

Dirty bathrooms, not comfortable to use showers, holes in bed sheets, dirty bedroom walls, flooring in bedroom was poor. Lack of interest in cleanliness. Owners seem to have abandoned the place and don't care.

Beautiful building with character, great location, fan and air con in room. A shame the owners have let it go and don't seem to care. Place is not well maintained or looked after.

Twin rooms unfortunately do not have private bathrooms:/ Also, the walls are the opposite of soundproof.

It is overall very ok for the price. There is hot water, AC and free drinking water. Also, the location is really good and there is a nice cheap food court nearby!

The building, especially the shared bathrooms, are in desperate need of renovation, and if not that, then at least, repair and regular, thorough cleaning.

The location was perfect for walking to all attractions in Georgetown. Muntri House is an old shopfront, 2-level heritage building in a quiet street. The building has great potential.

Location -👍a walk away to love lane, assumption church, chulia food night market, quiet street Even if the facilities may be up to home stay standard but at least, give more on cleanliness, lighting, and minor housekeeping in the lobby, get rid of mosquito in the lobby, dusty, cob web. someone smoke in the toilet and throw butt in the toilet and didnt flush. found so many long strand. Toilet pls check from time to time and maybe staff to make rounds periodically to check cleanliness. Really felt like staying in a house, an old house but could have been better. Staff do not have service mind, felt like they are working for the sake of work.

It appears the owners do not work there anymore and don't care too much which is a pity. Place needs some renovation. Showers and bathrooms quite dirty, no warm water.. My room had dirty walls, poor floor covering, would be better with the tiles only. Pillow was nasty with a bad smell, needs to be burned. Pillow case was ok. Bed sheet had couple of cigarette burn holes.

The building itself is very nice with lots of character and history. Location is great. Good place to rest and sleep as it's quiet. Room had fan and aircon although the aircon was noisy. Bed was firm which is how I like them. Free water on tap. No breakfast included now.
