I was on the fourth floor and you have to use staircase which was tiring the wonderful staff from New Zealand staff helped with a bag.

The stairs were very steep and we were staying on the top floor however, we were aware of this beforehand and most buildings in Amsterdam’s stairs are the same.

The hotel is in an excellent location we were able to walk to every location we wanted to see in Amsterdam! The beds were very comfortable and the room, although small was well equipped with everything including a hairdryer and a fan. The staff were really friendly and although we didn’t book in for breakfast, some small bits were available for us free of charge and we had access to that area during the day.

The breakfast area was very nice!! Nicer than we have imagined. The room was great, very small but for a city trip you don’t need a lot of space anyway! Yes the doors where not the best and you could hear everything from outside but nonetheless we would stay here again for sure!!

Room was small but to be expected for most of amsterdam and lack of tea and coffee facilities in the rooms. tea and coffee is limted to Mornings only in reception.

ALL hotels here have very steep and narrow steps so be warned and don't moan about it. There is no front desk, they send you a key code to your mobile phone. We had to make an arrangement with the breakfast staff to leave our bags for later collection when we vacated the room in the morning. We had two single rooms, unfortunately at the very top of the building. Mine had bunk beds which isn't particularly inviting. Also, don't be fooled by the photos. The bathrooms are tiny. Clean, but I had a tiny shower room and and a separate miniature WC. Strange.

The location is great, the shopping in the 9 streets a few minutes away on foot, and all the sights within walking distance, yet decently far enough from the mad tourists in the red light area. Sufficient options at the included breakfast, in a lovely breakfast room with windows on to the canal. There were staff members there only for breakfast but they were very friendly.

Bathroom was quite smelly. The stairs are very steep. My room number was 13, it was on the fourth floor, so had to climb a lot of stairs. There’s not much space in the room. I travelled solo so space wasn’t a concern but for a couple it can get cramped.

Location is perfect. The view is unmatched for the price. They offered complimentary coffee, yoghurt, croissants etc for breakfast. Also they let me use the reception while I was waiting to go to the airport late at night.

It seemed a little bit rough around the edges: wallpaper peeling, paint not done nicely, holes in the sheets and the warm water broke for a day.

I had a room on the top floor, but there was no elevator - so I had to carry all my luggage up 3 flight of stairs.

Like I said before the shower gave us some trouble -

The room was clean and comfy, the shower gave us some trouble because it floated over but we learned to control it. The location of the hotel could not be better, in walking distance of everything we were after and the breakfast was very good and met our standards, fresh fruits, croissant, jogurt and coffee.

The roof area outside room 1 was filthy. Closing of Front door and room doors were extremely loud and disturbing from inside room 1. Silent doors would be a huge improvement. Get rid of the unusable armoire and put up some wall hooks. Reception area was not inviting.

Bathroom was great and very clean! Comfy bed and pillows.
