Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The room size itself was quite snug for two people. We requested twin beds, which wasn't able to be accommodated.
The location, the staff were fantastic and very amenable.

The reception assistant (Seth) was exceptionally considerate, helpful and welcoming. The view of the canal was delightful.

The deluxe upgrade was still a very small room- had to step over suitcases and around chairs and across the bed. and our view was minimal at best. Several of the front staff were very accommodating but a few seemed to not have the information requested and were not very communicative.
The location couldn't have been better. Convenient to museums, restaurants, canals, and trams. the coffee shop in the lobby was great for evening coffees and breakfasts.

Our Deluxe room was small and the bathroom was small. The soap dispensers were strange. We had to ask how to dispense our hand soap and shampoo. Water comes out of the shower and into the bathroom very easily. The hairdryer was one that you had to hold the button the entire time to keep it on.
The staff were wonderful and the breakfast was great. The location is excellent to use the trams and busses.

The location in the Museum Quarter is perfect. It's a short walk to the Van Gogh and Rijksmuseums as well as great shopping and restaurants right down the street. Also walkable to Heineken Experience, Anne Frank House and other attractions. The hotel itself is very nice with modern and clean rooms and a good breakfast buffet.

Like any other European hotel, no bellboy, the room was very small, stairs only to go into the lobby.

Minor problem but both shower gel & handwash were empty and didn’t get refilled during our stay. Carpet quite stained.
Great location next to museums and loads of posh shops! Helpful staff. Nice bar area. Book well in advance (weeks if you want to see Ann Franks house). Near bus stop from airport.

At first , the lady at the desk was a little bit rude but it could have been a language barrier between us. But when we said we were staying she was very nice.
We had a free room upgrade and it was lovely , the view was amazing as we were on the highest floor. The room was Very clean.

Room was smaller than expected we were essentially in a dark attic room with two rooms on either side and the noise was seeping through. Also despite putting a sign asking for the room to be turned over on our first morning it wasn’t - again I think this is to do with being in one of the fifth floor attic rooms. Otherwise it’s a great place just avoid a 5th floor room.
Great location and nice and comfortable hotel with pleasant staff.

The shower flooded the bathroom every time, had to use towels as a flood defence
Easy walking distance to everything you'd want to do centrally. Comfortable bed, good sized room, nice and clean.

Super small rooms.
Location was perfect. Walking or tram to anywhere. Lobby and cafe were a bonus and kept us well fed.
