We loved the location due to its tranquility and closeness to Sirinat National Park which meant many unusual birds would fly to hotel gardens. But bare in mind some tour operators won't pick you up from this location. Simba for example that's the best tour company to visit Phi Phi won't pick you from here. We stayed 4 nights on Bangtao beach and 3 nights here in Sala and it was perfect.

Amazing hotel, hard to pick what we loved the most: 1. Service - not a surprise to have a great service in Thailand, however here we genuinely enjoyed smoothness. Staff seemed genuinely pleased to help us out. Our kid was sick and they were very helpful in arranging clinic appointment. We once got a wrong meal and the lady at the restaurant didn't charge us for next meal as a form of apology, which was very nice as a gesture. 2. Amenities - pools are fantastic. So large and with kids pools and fountains. I don't know any other place where it would be equally pleasant for young kids and honeymooners at the same time. This place is just amazing for everyone to take a good rest. My daughter loved the pool so much. Sunbeds are so comfortable and view is just stunning. 3. They have a little organic farm with goats, ducks, geese and chickens. My toddler still talks about baby goat Olivia. Staff at the farm were such friendly young women. Also I just loved to have fresh eggs from the farm on breakfast. 4. Rooms - very specious and beautiful. Very tranquil too (we were in a room not a villa). I loved that bathroom was on a balcony so the bedroom was dry and fresh. 5. Mosquitoes - saw some comments about mosquitoes. Yes this area of the island gets quite a bit of them but hotel does a great job to manage them. I appreciated that they used natural repellents as some chemical ones are too harsh for humans too. We kept doors closed and mosquitoes were perfectly manageable. Ceiling fans keep them away too. So this was no problem for us. 6. Value for money - we got fantastic experience that was worth every penny we paid. I would happily come back to Sala, thank you for your hospitality 🤍

outdoor toilets and bathrooms as much as it sounds exotic, we need to understand we are in middle of jungle, which now is being reclaimed and not everything goes as per plan. mosquitoes, dung beetles, frogs, all were a plenty despite numerous people working round the clock in 2 shifts to clean them up. please note, it's still is a great place but just not for us if you're paying that kind of rates.

the beach pools and location are fab, so are the facilities in terms of spa and staff. also, amenities in the room were very good. I do recommend if you're looking for secluded and relaxing place.

Sala Hotels are in my opinion one of the classiest and exactly for my taste. Absolutely amazing hacienda type of chilling area with a super nice private pool. Good location, perfect access to the beach.

it is really just a small thing but I found the staff, particularly at the restaurant and only on the weekend (maybe a different shift) not so friendly. it seemed like they were almost unhappy about cleaning the dishes from the guests. it’s not what I am used to from Thailand and came to a surprise. However as I said it was only on the weekend and dinner time that we noticed it. on other days the staff was friendly.

the property is absolutely amazing. we had a sala villa and it was heaven. the outdoor bathroom didn’t bother us at all and just added to the atmosphere. the pool and beach were wonderful and super quiet. very often we were the only ones at the beach. maybe also due to the fact that there were no beach chairs and only pool chairs but that wasn’t any issue at all for us. The food was absolutely amazing. especially the curries were so flavorful. for breakfast you can choose buffet and also a few a la carte items. that’s a perfect mix

Not so much to do around the hotel. But you won’t need that with the hotel’s private pool and the beautiful uncrowded beach!!

Beautiful beautiful beautiful hotel. Ideal if you want to spend a couple of days away from the crowded areas and want to enjoy the beach and the private pool. Perfect for couples. The food we ordered to the room for lunch and dinner is one of the best we’ve had around Thailand. Beautiful clean room, delicious food and amazing staff!!
