Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomAlthough there were sheets and a pillow, there was no comforter in the apartment for the sofa bed and I had to go and request a cover. The kitchenette was very basic and if we had decided to prepare food I doubt we would have had the ability to do much. It was nice to be able to use the breakfast / dining room outside of mealtimes to use the hot water and tea/coffee facilities. At breakfast there was a good selection of hot drinks and all was very accessible. However there were limited breakfast items such as pastries and bread. The bread ran out really quickly and I had to ask the crew member to re-fill. They did after about 10 minutes. There was some hot food consisting of potatoes and sausages with no vegetarian option, and the scrambled eggs ran out before we arrived (10am). There was no juice other than cranberry. There was a massive queue for the waffle maker and we were the last ones to use the batter before it ran out. Once the batter was gone it was gone leaving a queue of hungry travellers disappointed. There was no member of staff actively telling people about that.
Loved the 31st floor apartment. We upgraded from a room to the apartment and that was a really good idea. The location was great as was the view from the apartment. The double bed and sofa bed were very comfortable. The apartment was clean.

DenmarkThe breakfast was a bit deficient. Especially some days where we experienced the only drink-opportunity was water and coffee and another day where there was no milk to coffee, cerials and further. We visited for 9 days and I would say that 3 of the mornings were without anything big missings in the breakfast. I know that they were very busy - the hotel was full - so that could explain why it was a bit hectic in the breakfast area. A bit more elevators could have been very handy. We were asked to push the bottom for both up and down from the employeed because of how busy they were, and told to go on no matter what. If we didn’t do that, we could wait in around 10 minutes when it is breakfast time.
The rooms were absolutely incredible. One of the best rooms we ever stayed in with such a good price- value for money. The only thing we were missing was a chromecast to the TV, so that we could have streamed from our telephones :)

United States of AmericaThe hotel is clean and has no offensive smells. You are right in the heart of shopping and plenty of restuarants. Lynette, greeter, is very pleasant and eager to give you great places to eat or visit. The kitchenette was adequately stocked for a small stay. The breakfast was simple but decent. It was easy to get our car in and out and it does cost a bit, but you are in a big city. Bring some earplugs for sleeping, sirens constantly. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is in a fantastic location and within easy walking distance of most of the attractions. Our suite was a bit jaded but, apart from the sofa bed in the living room, was adequate and clean

IndonesiaThere is only 1 washing machine, the carpet room was stained and a bit outdated.
Our room is very spacious (king room higher floor with city view) with separated living room/kitchen area. The view was superb and the staff were very nice. Location was in the central of magnificent miles. The lobby was small and bit crowded at times but surprisingly the room was exceeded our expectation. We would like to stay again in the future visit.

United States of AmericaThe carpeting has been cleaned and was soaking wet in both rooms. Could not go barefoot or just socks. Did not have shower gel as described would have. Said they were out. There are 3 of us and only has 2 coffees and we had to ask each day for more and they would just give us 2. Ice machine on the floor did not work.

IrelandBreakfast is awful! I don’t understand the reviews that highlight this as good. Served on paper plates with plastic cutlery! Such bad environmental practice (lots of single use plastic) and so cheap and nasty for what was not a cheap hotel. Decent enough selection of food but poor quality (powdered eggs, grey looking cooked food). We are not overly picky but we ate out for breakfast a couple of times as we just couldn’t face it. Common areas are a bit tatty and worn but as the room was good this didn’t bother us too much.
Great location off Michigan Avenue. Walking distance to all major sights. Close to lake for walks / runs. Good spots for eating and shopping close by. Room was clean and spacious. Comfortable bed.
