Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomMy main priority when booking was 24 hr front desk - travelling alone from UK. Mistakenly, I assumed that this meant a receptionist on site at all times. This is not the case. There was a telephone number that you could call at any time - but travelling from UK, using my phone to make calls was problematic.
Room was nice. Clean. Everything worked. Communal areas were very nice. Access to tea and coffee at all times.

United States of AmericaThe hallway light was able to shine right through the window above the door allowing a good amount of light in while trying to sleep. Also adding a security charge of over $200 after the room was booked months in advance.
The room was very quiet and the ac unit worked well to keep the room comfortable.

It was a beautiful building located right on the streetcar line, which was only a ten minute ride into the quarter. Very nice area with bars and restaurants within walking distance. We never felt unsafe walking late at night, so that's always a plus.

United States of AmericaThe room was much smaller than the average hotel room with the bed occupying the majority of floor space. There were only a couple of maintenance issues. One night we came back and there was a large puddle of water on the floor. We had to take our towels to clean it up. The main light switch next to the door was also leaking water and the wall surrounding it was soft and wet.. the staff were informed and stated they would take care of it..
The staff was very friendly. And the Room comfortable. The location was terrific.

The room was beautifully decorated. The location was on the street car line. This made it convenient without having to drive everywhere.

SwitzerlandThe electronic key is very unstable. It takes sometimes too long to connect to the hotels internet, so it takes long time to connect to the key. Many times we had to wait very long to be able to access the room. The toilet was not flushing properly and it became very disgusting for our five day stay. It was not possible to fix it. I would have expected to get at least an extra cleaning.

United States of AmericaOne of the lamps near the heat didn’t work. The toilet backed up for no reason. I got to the hotel after midnight. Housekeeping came around at 11 to ask me to depart. I had received a text that check out was 12 noon not 11. And you would think being I arrived so late they would be more courteous anyway.
I liked the technology and digital locks.

United KingdomOn my arrival, I was advised that I should have been notified before my arrival, that because it was Mardi Gras they needed to take a $200 security deposit from my credit card, but they could see I hadn’t received it. A security deposit to me means a refundable payment in case of any damage so I didn’t t question it and paid. I was advised after my stay that it was actually non-refundable and was a fee due to higher demand during Mardi Gras and their location. They refused to refund me. I was misled and having disputed it, lied to as they claimed that I’d had the message before my arrival even though they acknowledged when I checked in that I hadn’t. I sent a screen shot of the messages exchange we’d had before and during my stay as proof I’d not received it. They supplied no evidence of any message that I supposedly received. The term of ‘Security deposit’ was a clear ploy to mislead as it’s obviously a surcharge, and this despite me already having paid nearly double the rate they charge for the same length of stay when it isn’t Mardi Gras. They also charged me for housekeeping . The only housekeeping visit I had was as I checked out to clean for the next arrivals. Having disputed the security deposit with Booking.com and given them all the evidence of the lies and misleading language, the Inn still refused to acknowledge they were in the wrong and refund me. Booking.com have now credited the amount to me so I’m grateful for that at least. I very rarely lead a negative review, but I want others not to fall foul of the greed and lies that I was.

United States of AmericaI wish there was breakfast, even if it was just coffee already made and serve yourself fruit/granola/etc. It can be a bit noisy - to be expected in an old repurposed home imo. Don't stay here if you need lots of quiet to sleep. For me it wasn't an issue but I think it's fair to note.
Great value for the price. My room was little but cute and my bathroom was nice! There was a little courtyard we could relax in. The trolley stops right out front and there are a couple places you can walk to from the hotel for food or a drink.

The location was great, for our needs.......Enough food choices near.... those we tried were excellent. Trolley right out front.....The only staff we ever saw was the lady who checked us in and she was very friendly and helpful. Never saw.....and did not get "daily" room care as mentioned in the amenities section. Rooms, generally quite small........comfy bed.....but that's not all one expects at this price range....Refrig. in room broken.........no room phones (as mentioned in amenities list)....Generally room was fairly clean (did find a small clump of hair in shower stall tho, after check-in(..not too great to find.rather late check-in times ...4 p.m. Tho, we were able to leave our luggage there upon our 11:30 a.m. flight. No space in room for any seating, other than on the bed......Luckily, the weather was nice, so we could use the patio to gather. My room was on 1st floor, right across from the 'desk area' and near the 'supply' space and therefore, quite noisy as people came and went. I know this seems very negative...........but, for the room rate (and why is there a room cleaning fee?) it was not worth a return stay from myself and the other 2 folks in our party. Best part..the lady who checked us in (sorry, I forgot her name) was very helpful....

The staff responded quickly to any concerns and they work fast! I never verbally spoke to anyone. Everything was through text. However they got the job done!
