Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

It is extremely hard to find, difficult checking in. Staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. Felt like being in a hospital.

Location is limiting with very few places in walking distance (there's a CVS on one side and a subway on the other within 10 minutes walk). For some reason the rooms stocked with lots of plates/bowls but no utensils?
Nice staff at the desk, nice sized room lots of space, has a full kitchen, large bathroom, right next to the hospital if that's where you need to be

There was construction during the 1st day of our stay so the front entrance and lobby was very noisy when we checked in. Also we could not unload our luggage from the vehicle in the front because of the construction. That is not something the hotel could help, so I'm not disappointed.
The rooms were nice but average size. Not too big and not too small. I like that there was a small fridge and microwave to warm up meals from left overs. The asthetics of the room was pretty nice.

Facility is somewhat dated, although there are currently attempts being made to update. Would have preferred windows facing outside rather than courtyard. First couple of days, there was a long, somewhat confusing walk from hotel to hospital. That was resolved and the walk became extremely short and easy.
Room comfortable, appreciated having fridge & microwave, generally quiet.

Ongoing renovation to the lobby was loud and inconvenient. The drilling in some way actually caused a alarm to go off telling everyone to vacate the building. They had a speaker in the room to tell you to leave but no one told you when it was all clear. This occurred early in am and woke us up. Also, the room lock did not work (when checking in )with key cards and after several trips downstairs we had to request another room ( they only offered to send repairman up).
The room was nice and spacious. We had a front facing room with had a jetted tub.

Of course the hotel renovation is a little “off putting “, but overall, our stay was comfortable.

Instructions and signs to get from registration desk to the guest rooms. It was confusing to say the least. I know this is a work in progress with the construction, but the existing signs aren’t done well enough for a person to get to their room.

It's a big complex, so it's a bit complicated to find the way from the parking garage to the rooms. And there were some renovations, so every time we had to find a new path.
Room and bathroom were both clean. Free parking at the parking garage (do not follow the GPS to Brent House Hotel go directly to the parking garage, 2nd floor or above). The hotel is connected to a hospital, you can find a pharmacy, a coffee shop, cafeteria, and smoothie bar here. There is a guest laundry, it was $1.5 for washing and $1.5 for drying. We bought laundry detergent at the reception for $1. The hotel is far from the city, but bus number 3 has a bus stop just in front of the hotel.

They were remodeling and my suitcase got very dusty along with my feet! Directions how to get back to the room and from was confusing and I could hear next door very well

The hotel was being renovated and smelled funny in the atrium area, but this is understandable.

The toilet ran constantly, and the hair dryer didn't work. I intended to let the from desk know when we checked out, but I forgot.
Our room was very nice. Smelled fresh and clean. Beds were very comfortable. Very quiet. Covered parking in the attached parking garage. We felt very safe in this part of town.

They are updating the property which is fine and all but it would be nice to have a clear walk path on the way to my room on level 2 the ice machine and other things were in the walk way also would be nice to have close parking but you have to get on three different elevators to get the the parking garage or back to the hotel
