Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Price is expensive but for the area was competitive. Of course everyone would always like it to be cheaper!
Staff was very welcoming, we felt safe coming back to the hotel late at night and had no trouble with the valet!

I can’t change the trends of society but the cost of accommodations is getting ridiculous. Unaffordable for middle class normal people. Everyone from Airbnbs to chain hotels …. Gouging people for the simple necessity of laying your head on a pillow. Fancy bathroom hardware … so much so we had to call to ask how to turn on the water to the bathtub. And never could get cold water. Appropriate for Boston as we felt like boiled lobster by the end of that experience!
Location. Very close to public transport and within walking distance to shops and restaurants …and Fenway Park if you like the Red Sox.

Valet parking is required and they charged $70 a night! I messaged on the app before asking about parking and they didn't let me know about this cost. :/

The staff at the hotel was incredible. We were there for my boyfriend’s 30th birthday and they set up a sweet display for him that was very thoughtful.

Every time we came in the door, the kids from the valet parking helped us. However, it was the older, head doorman who took the tips but appeared too busy talking every time we entered to offer help. We didn’t care for that dynamic.
We had a Junior suite which was great for two people who had to work from the room. As the extra area faced the street, night noise was at minimum and our sleep was fantastic! Very clean and spacious.

The only "con" is the arrival, the parking was crazy. Seems there were issues with buses so getting to the valet parking at night was total chaos. Cars parked on the second lane, the buses couldn't move, there are traffic lights on that street but there is congestion - probably because of all the buses / hotel / restaurants so it was difficult to leave the car at the valet. Either way it all worked out, just need to be patient.
The Hotel was excellent is in a perfect location. Staff very professional and helpful. Restaurants right there were excellent very nice and delicious food. We loved the Blue Ribbon Brasserie. We were visiting college so it was a convenient location.

Expectations for a sofa bed are low, but even with the low expectations replacing the mattress is a good idea, it was very worn and thin. We did not have enough blankets.

We were most appreciative of Nick at the front desk who helped make dinner reservations for us on two nights. And my kids immediately commented on how funny and personable the staff were! Its a great location, very walkable, lots of great restaurants on the block. We hope to return
