Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe noisy refurbishments, but we were out during the day and we did get a discount from the hotel as an act of good will. The room was enormous and very well appointed. This is the first time we have stayed in a Marriott hotel, apart from an overnighted at Heathrow and we were very happy with what we found.
The location was great. We were upgraded by you and the hotel gave us some money off in the end as there was a lot of noisy refurbishment being done at the hotel and there was no access to the pool. However everything else was great and we will return.

CanadaOur heater stopped working while it was unusually cold for San Diego. The maintenance person replaced the furnace. It worked for about an hour and that was it, no more heat for the rest of the weekend.
Great location, spacious and clean room and pleasant staff.

United KingdomNothing bad to report.
This is a lovely hotel, nice an quiet and our room was the one shown in the pictures on booking.com! Pool area is lovely. The bar across the street is very stylish, classy without being stuffy. Is a short walk to the beach, although there are a lot of steps down to it!

Czech Republicseveral maintenance issues in the rooms, prices charged for menu items were higher than displayed (apparently the system was updated while the display wasn't yet, but in this case the displayed prices should apply, not the system prices which no one can see when ordering), the German sentence on the in-room sign was completely wrong, during our three night stay only once room service was provided. sheets were not changed, just straightened (we could tell because some sand from the first night was still in the sheets), only three towels were provided while booking for four people. we asked for an extra towel which was provided without hesitation, yet after the room service again only 3 towels were provided.
staff were friendly, overall look was appropriate. we were not charged for infant, extra charges on the bill we did not use were taken off immediately when mentioning them, without hesitation

United States of AmericaThis was not the hotel's fault, but the only con was the noisy upstairs guests.
Location and accommodations were great for our trip. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Staff was excellent. I would definitely stay here again.

United States of AmericaOne thing that was not in service was charging stations in the parking garage for electric vehicles (not yet installed as of December 2022). Also, one parking garage has very limited parking and it wasn't obvious that there's another larger parking lot around the corner. Perhaps some signage had not yet been installed. There was a minor hiccup with the coffee dispenser in the lobby, which made excellent lattes but seems like it might be backed up with a long line during the morning rush.
We stayed just one night on the first day they were open. This facility formerly operated as a La Quinta Inn but has been fully remodeled. Interior decor modern and rooms well-appointed which one would expect of a Courtyard. As far as we could tell (we didn't eat in the cafe) everything seemed to be going smoothly.

United States of AmericaExpensive. Had to pay for daily parking, that was disappointing. The "Market" had limited selection. The one time I used the pool, there were no towels. I went in to the main desk and asked for towels, she said she would have towels brought out. 20 minutes later, no towels. I saw another employee by the pool, asked for towels. 10 minutes later, no towels. I found another employee by the pool, asked for towels. 10 minutes later no towels. I had to go back to my room dripping wet.
Location was perfect. Room was very nice.

United States of AmericaThe website lead me to believe there was a restuarant/bar onsite. Which there is not. Also all the hype about being on the beach, there is no direct beach access. Finally parking is a rip-off, why are you charging $22.00 a night... because corporate says you have to. Why cant you be different. After all guest are paying $300 a night you cant throw in free parking. That was the biggest let down of the week, except for the sunday morning 6;15 fire alarm wake up. Only to be told ...oh someone pulled the fire alarm....nothing or no one said it was all clear to go back to your rooms....
The cleanliness of the room and the staff were great. Services were great. Even late night tequests were courteously handled.

United States of AmericaConsistent room checks. Within a span of 2 hrs, we had about 5 different people knock on our door for housekeeping. We kept saying no, we had our do not disturb sign on the door, but people kept coming. it was very disruptive and anxiety-provoking, two of the housekeeping knocks occurred within 5 minutes of one another. it was very uncomfortable.
Good location, easy to check in/check out, nice balcony, mostly quiet, front desk staff was very nice and helpful.
