Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe breakfast was delicious and the dining room was lovely and quaint. We each had our own little table and I appreciated that. Beautiful places to sit quietly on the front porch. I wish we stayed longer!

United States of AmericaIn all honesty, there was nothing that didn’t exceed our expectations. I can’t even complain about the weather because that was great as well. The only thing I could complain about as a sugarholic was the endless supply of fantastic homemade chocolate cookies in the parlor.
Breakfast each morning was fantastic along with the service. Scott, the Manager, was fantastic especially giving us information about the area. Location was convenient to everything but secluded enough to provide privacy.

United States of AmericaThe only downside was the lack of efficient AC. It is an old house converted to a bed and breakfast so this was to be expected. We just opened the window and enjoyed the cool night breeze! Everything else was perfect!
Beautiful bed and breakfast super close to town and a lot of fun things to do. The staff was amazing and beyond accommodating. The food was delicious and they had wine in the evenings that you could enjoy on the beautiful spacious porch. The room was clean and looked exactly like what was pictured on the website. Such a peaceful and relaxing weekend getaway. We will definitely be back!!

United States of AmericaI did not like the fact that the owner charges $25 for early check in. I think that is ridiculous.....I have traveled the globe and have never been charged for early check in. If the room is open and available one should be able to check in. It was 3 pm or $25. Not 1-1:30-2. The really continued to bother me for the exceptional service this place offers.
The staff was excellent. Sarah and Scott. The cooks in the mornings were amazing and the service great. I wish they would start breakfast at 8 instead of 8:30 for people that want to go out and do things during the day. The housekeeping staff was excellent.

United States of AmericaThe most reasonable priced room is on the third floor. But.. the Shangri-la room was cozy, tastefully decorated and worth the climb. Scott helped us take our suitcases up, which was very helpful.
The Albemarle Inn is a beautiful B & B located in a nice neighborhood. It was within walking distance to the Omni park resort where we wanted to see the national gingerbread competition showcase. The staff was wonderful. The two course breakfast every morning was delicious. There was a guest kitchen area with a refrigerator, microwave and place to heat up food if needed.

United States of AmericaI think the only "didn't like" might have been that we could hear the folks in the next room over, but I don't count that as a negative as it's an old house and reasonable & it wasn't loud. We really enjoyed our stay.
The Inn is beautiful!! We were greeted upon arrival and given a tour. We stayed in the Vanity Fair, which was clean and comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was really yummy. The Inn is close to downtown Asheville, which made driving there for dinner easy. We were contacted before our arrival with suggestions of things to do (like reserve seating for dinner at a local restaurant) and to see if we had questions or needed anything for our stay. Very happy with our stay there, we would stay there again.

At the time of our stay, the inn was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The breakfast was amazing, and they were very cognizant of guests' dietary restrictions. We look forward to visiting again!
