Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

It was a bit difficult to get to the entrance due to the amount of one way streets as well the room was very small.
The property had valet parking available on site.

The heat didn't work...only blew out cold air, but I had a blanket in the car & made it work. Also, I feel like the price for valet parking is a bit steep.
The staff was friendly & I enjoyed the wine tasting

Noise insulation is not the best and I had noisy neighbors in the rooms next to mine. The common areas could do with a little update - but it looked like that was possibly going to happen. Could do with more water refill stations. No laundry service or machines available (so I had to go through an exterior service provider that ended up being ridiculously expensive).
Nice central location with clean business style rooms. Most of the staff were friendly.

The shower hot/cold control doesn't work properly and it is hard to get the right temperature. Only do housekeeping on the 3rd day.
The location is amazing at a reasonable price.

Bathrooms were very small and squished.
The staff were very friendly and attentive to my needs. I thought my shower wasn't working as no water was coming out and called reception. He came right away in the morning to show me how it was done. Receptionists are helpful and knowledgeable. They have all you need for a few nights stay in a hotel if you are there on business or other purpose and will not be spending a lot of time in the hotel.

Staff at the front desk don’t seem to like being asked questions. On three separate occasions, asking about parking on arrival, food recommendations in the evening, and then another parking question in the morning (three separate staff members) was always given a curt and not very helpful response. Ended up finding out the answers from other people in the city who were much friendlier since the hotel staff were not willing/interested in giving much help.

The bathroom design was tight. There was award spacing between the sink and the toilet, There was no place to hang a use hand or face towel by the sink. The heater was quite loud but I guess for some people it could be suitable white noise.
There are amenities like robes, iron, kettle, slippers, you just have to ask for it. Bathroom was brightly light and clean. There was a nice face light for the bathroom mirror. The bed was comfy with more than enough room for two.

You could tell it was “historic “ , our door looked like it was kicked in at some point, we had lukewarm water for the weekend, and the toilet was leaking. House cleaning also did not clean out the garbage the whole weekend.
It wasn’t too far from the event center.

The towels had some marks on them from previous guests.
I loved the location of the hotel as well as how friendly the front desk staff was. They were very patient and helpful if I needed anything.

There was no fan in the bathroom and no chair to sit at in our double bed room.

From the negatives, during check-in, the guy at the reception was on the phone. I took a seat to wait for him to finish his call, but after that, he ignored my presence, which felt a bit odd. The second issue was that it was chilly in the room at night, and there was no option to adjust the room temperature. However, overall, I enjoyed my stay.
Good value for money and location. I stayed for just one night and overall, I was satisfied. The rooms were clean. I want to highlight the pleasant service at the reception upon check-out: a nice and friendly woman made the check-out process more enjoyable

The lounge staff was SUPER rude, would not let us come in for a drink and to watch any games. Said she was too busy although there was plenty of seating. Tried again the next night and she rudely screamed “I’M CLOSING!!” Across a seated group. Wow. I have never been talked to before like that! I spoke to the front desk and apparently she is the manager of the bar. I will not book with this property again.
Great downtown location, able to walk to Pike Market and Lumen field for the football game. Valet parking was great. Room was small but clean and all we needed.
