Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The shower door was sort of broken so it didn’t open and close properly. The room had no fridge. The towels were stiff and scratchy. The WiFi didn’t work for three of the four nights we were there.
The bed was comfy, and the room was clean and so large!

Good location for Mardi Gras. Our room was far enough away from the front street when we wanted to escape the noise. The outdoor bar area just off the footpath was a good place to chill out and watch the street activities.

No fridge/microwave in room. Ice machine on our floor was not available so had to go to the 8th floor to get ice. TV service was also spotty as well.

The restaurant and bar need some specials for Mardi Gras! Food specials especially that are kid friendly! Drink prices were way too high. Last year there was food that was easy to take out on parade route.
Great location for Mardi Gras! Felt very safe, lots of security!

The second morning they failed to offer breakfast even though it had been paid in advance, probably some malfunction in the kitchen. The hotel failed to mention they were undergoing renovations. The personnel at the reception was not very friendly.
The location was good by the old town car line. The hotel had a breakfast, which you could select form a menu. It was very basic.

Everything was fine. The Hotel was under construction, bur everyone was friendly and super. No noise at all.

Found out when we checked in that they were under construction so the elevator was often occupied by workers so had to use the stairs. Luckily I was on the 3rd floor so the stairs weren’t a problem but I knew someone on the 9th floor. Breakfast wasn’t great either and I found it pricey.
The location, the cleanliness, the staff, the comfort.

It takes some close looking, but room furniture is worn and things are a tad rough around the edges. It's good value for money, though. Even though it was convenient, the parking cost was pricey. And (something I need to follow up with): it appears was double charged for my room, having booked it / paid here on Booking, then being charged again when giving my card for the "deposit" that was supposed to be removed after my stay.
The location is the draw -- it's right off the St. Charles street car line and close to downtown. The room was nice and comfortable; the staff / valets were very friendly and helpful.

There was something going on with their computer system that slowed down the check-in process. It was also down the following morning when I was checking out so they were unable to print out a receipt and were taking names and email addresses to send after the fact; I still have not received it.
The hotel location close to downtown was great and the hotel itself seemed very nice.

the housekeeping, room was barely touched for 5 days, had to ask for coffee, trash bags, toilet paper . Items were given to us in the lobby to carry upstairs . The rooms need a fridge
