Poor breakfast and broken elevator leading to very long waits

One elevator was broken for two nights, resulting in long waits. Breakfast area was crowded and was not kept stocked.

A terrible breakfast. Breakfast was served from 6 AM, but by 7:30 there was almost nothing. The problem was mainly with the drinks, which the staff did not refill at all.

During housekeeping times there was an extra wait for the lifts, as they used them. We didn't have to wait too long most of the time, so it wasn't too bad but I can imagine that being worse during busy times of the year. It wasn't bad enough to put me off going back here, just plan wisely if you can!

The location was great and walking distance to a lot of the main attractions/ places we wanted to go and the subway/ Penn station. The room was a good size considering we went for the cheapest queen bed option and we had a nice city view even though we didn't pay for that as an extra, so we were lucky! There was a little noise from other rooms through the corridor but not much through the walls so it wasn't too bad. The toiletries were a good extra as it meant we didn't need to take any shampoo etc The breakfast was pretty basic but we didn't really book it because of that, we had a lot of food plans around the city so we didn't use it a lot! I would recommend this hotel for the location, rooms in general were good and the bed was comfortable.

Bed site lapm was broken, light in the bathroom was broken. Room clean, but needs some repairs. We checked into the room to see that it was dirty. Hotel stuff moved us to a clean room, but it did create trouble for us due to evening reservations

breakfast was weak, the same offer every day, food ran out quickly and was slowly replenished. There was a complete, but complete absence of any vegetables. In the evenings, the room was a bit cold (it was -5 degrees Celsius outside) and there was no way to heat it up

The nylon blankets and pillows generate excessive static electricity, and the carpets are very old and damp. The bathrooms and rooms are also quite outdated, and the prices are comparatively higher than other similar hotels in the area.

Something is up with the left elevator. On multiple occasions it would come to our floor, pause and then leave without opening. High touch surfaces in the room (mainly all the doors) were dirty. I asked for cleaner to clean them myself.

Staff was great, especially a woman on the day shift named Neesie. She went out of her way to help me with a problem and made my stay stress free!

The hotel is well situated in Chelsea and close to several subway and train lines. The staff is very friendly and helpful and of good advice. Our room gave on a calm side. It was on the second floor so that we did not need to use the elevator very often as there is quickly a queue. The breakfast menu offers a certain variety of choices but you have to be quite early to have the full choice. The breakfast room is quite small and it is quickly over-crowded.

The only thing I would change is the was the breakfast area is set up. Plenty of seating but very cramped space to get your breakfast.

The staff is very friendly and the room was clean.
