Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomIt would be nice to have a kettle in the room for a morning cup of tea, but there is a 7-11 next door where tea can be bought cheaply, and the adjoining restaurant provided cups of hot water for hotel residents.
The hotel is in a fantastic location, very close to Quincy Market and the harbour. We were able to walk to most of Boston's sights and attractions from the hotel, including Boston Common. The staff were friendly, the room was clean, the shower was powerful, and the beds were very comfortable. I'd asked for foam pillows on one bed (due to allergies), feather pillows on the other, and this was provided.

PanamaOur room had no windows, the smell was not terrible but could have been better, and the heater was making some noises the first night.
The location is really good, close to a subway station. The value was good too.

United States of AmericaI didn’t like the restaurant on site. They didn’t have a wide selection of food choices. The drinks at the bar were good but very expensive. The bartender and staff were rude.
The staff at the front desk, when we checked in, were great. The room was nice. Location was great. We were on street over from Marketplace.

United States of AmericaThe fact that there was practically no view from the window of the room I was at. Additionally, the attached restaurant was a bit pricey. Also, the carpeted floor meant that I got a static shock every time I touched the metal door knob or elevator button.
The bathroom/shower was beautiful, the bed firm and comfy, and the room nice and big. The location of the hotel so close to the Blue Line was really helpful, and everything was in walkable distance from it.

Harborside is absolutely brilliant value for money for Boston ( which is the most expensive place in 45 years of travel!). I did not pay anything like $500 dollars a night but around 700 for 3 nights which is still very high for me! The location is superb being near the waterfront and a well known hotel who sell Meomi Pinot Noir! It is also near the Tourbus and near North End ( Little Italy) is a ten minute walk. All the staff were so kind and went out of their way to help their customers and they are to be commended on their professionalism. My room was very quiet as requested, a great size and the bathroom was also larger than most 4* hotels I have stayed in. This deserves 4* status. There are loads of eating places nearby and access to public transport and the airport as Aquarium is right outside. There is also a restaurant attached whose coffee and croissants were great and little shop 1 minute away to buy things I will return!

United KingdomBoston prices are high, I was surprised at the cost of accommodation in the city, I chose this place as a bit more reasonable and in top location.
Lovely central location, clean and comfortable, just what needed for a few days stop. There was no fuss or issues around booking, checking in or out and staff cheerful and helpful. I would stay there again.
