Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomI found the room a bit too light when sleeping. There are blinds over a glass window panel in the door, but they don’t block out all of the light.

United KingdomNot a dislike but would have preferred a kettle and fridge. But we were travelling around and stayed there for a few days. Valet parking was good if a little expensive.
Location was fantastic for Beale Street. Some nice facilities in the room such as general layout. It was designed for party people staying one or two nights. Comfortable bed great shower.

United KingdomPaying for a valet service when my car was parked less than 5 metres away is a bit of a joke. Parking in the city elsewhere is largely free so quite a slap on the face to get it.
Everything apart from the enforced valet service. Really I thoroughly enjoyed it and have recommended to friends , the beds, room size, staff, facilities etc are all awesome - just park a block away and you’re grand.

United KingdomWe were disappointed with Memphis. The area around the hotel is like a ghost town; few people walking around and a strange vibe. We were told to be very careful when out walking. Even Beale street was quiet. That all said, we loved the Civil Rights museum and had a great BBQ meal. So our experience was very mixed, independent of a good hotel, and I’m not sure if we’d return.
Clean, friendly and efficient staff, rooms simple but good

United States of AmericaNot a lot of food options. Had to wear my earplugs to sleep but thankful they were there. It took 20 mins to check in because there was only one person working check-in at 3:00pm and I wasn't allowed to check in earlier.
The vibe was Gen X meets Millennials. Definitely a party vibe and always something to do and someone to see. Loved the LP decor, very hip. The location was really great for accessing good restaurants and attractions via walk or trolley.

United States of AmericaMandatory valet parking. A/C adjustment was either too hot or too cold.
The location was close to everything. We had to drive a bit, but you would not want to walk anywhere in Memphis anyhow. They offered good drinks on location so that you could leave Beale Street early. It was a quiet resort even though they offer ear plugs on every floor. They offered extra toiletries on every floor as well. Unique decor in every room

CanadaMemphis was a little too dirty, slummy and came across as unsafe. There really wasn't much of a night life, with the exception of Beale street, but you get real tired of Beale street after a couple nights and the mass shooting last Saturday didn't help the situation.
All in all a good experience. The Moxy was a great place to stay, the service was fantastic. Memphis however was a little disappointing. With the exception of Graceland and the events surrounding Graceland, there really wasn't much to do. Beale street is unkept and seemed extremely dangerous to visitors. You would think that the city of Memphis would do a better job in maintaining and upkeeping such an historical place especially as it pertains to tourists.

United States of AmericaDowntown Memphis is just a bit confusing.
We had a cracked window and a flat tire on our way to the Memphis so when I checked in and they gave us a token for a free cocktail/draft beer was needed. My son and I enjoyed playing with the Jenga blocks and having some down time after a stressful drive.

United States of AmericaOne elevator was out of service, and the other had an awful smell. Our room was nice, but small. The bed was clean and comfortable, but our shower did not seem clean. It was a much higher rate than I usually pay, but thought parking was included. We were charged an additional $30 for parking overnight. ⁰0
