Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Closet space, as already mentioned, and a water boiler in the room in order to make some tea, not only coffee, would be much appreciated.
Bed were extremely comfortable. Room decoration is a little aged, and it lacked some closet space to hang clothes, but the space was big enough, the view was amazing. It got quite noisy in the weekend because of the evening and night traffic, but ear plugs were provided and worked well. Breakfast was good and people working in the caffetteria were super nice! Location is great, everything is walking distance and the neighbourhood is lively, with several options to eat/shop. All in all, it was a very nice stay at Farfields'!

Parking expensive & far from the hotel then it was the valet take forever to get your car which was also expensive like 69 a night elevator was broken only one working… breakfast extremely packed no pool the gym is small too the room was small had a suite just as small as a double queen smh

The breakfast is terrible, few options, poor quality. The A/C is noisy. If one doesn't sleep well in a soft matress, should avoid the place.
I loved the view from my bedroom! The room and the bathroom were neat.and clean, the pillows comfortable. The staff is kind and professional, especially the people that attended the breakfast. The location is perfect to explore the city.

Sometimes elevators were a bit dirty.
The staff was the most valuable part of my stay at this hotel. The people at the reception desk were really friendly. Also, Fannie and Xavier were the special touch of each morning during our breakfast time! They were very very very kind! The hotel was located pretty close to Chicago’s main interest landmarks, all walking distance. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Chicago!

The parking is expensive and you can find other spots near the hotel for low price.

I think that in general, everything was very good, there was nothing that I "didn't like."
What I liked most about the hotel was the kindness of all the staff, also the included breakfast which I thought was very good, but the most important thing was the attention of Fannie and Javier, who were always attentive to our needs.

The room is close to the ice machine sometimes noisy
safe and convenient location. Free breakfast with cold and hot food. staff are all great. Javier and Fannie at breakfast are very nice. will stay again next time in Chicago

No lights above the mirror that you can get close to for putting on make-up. The bathroom mirror is too far away to see clearly. Nothing to hold on to in the shower (grab bar). Small closet and only one drawer for storing clothes. If a couple had this king room for a 5 day or week stay, one of them would have to live out of their suitcase.
Loved the location! Close to bars, clubs and nice restaurants . Loved the size and openness of the room. The desk and charger stations were a plus.
