Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaFantastic location, easy access to all the main attractions and great shopping. We stayed in the king luxury suite in the Executive Tower. The room was huge for hotel standards. Enough space for a family of 4 with teenage kids. The bedroom and separate living area were separated by doors, so the adults and the kids had their privacy and each room had its own TV. The Executive Tower seemed more modern in decor, but still a traditional style. We loved the fitness center with the pool which stayed open til 10pm. Families with younger and older kids were all having fun in the pool area. The staff were great. Overall a very enjoyable stay. We would come back again.

United States of AmericaThe site did not inform me that most of the amenities on the property were closed until middle of the week. The restaurant I wanted to visit in the hotel, closed. The wine bar, closed. The spa, closed or limited. The pool was actually open; they mentioned on the site that was the case. But they did not make clear that everything else was not open until Wednesday. I likely would have chosen another hotel. Due to staffing issues, check out and check in or a follow up question with staff was sometimes a 30 minute wait. Thankfully, I traveled alone. But with kids, this would be difficult to manage. My room was not thoroughly cleaned as a guests' vapor and their supplies was left on the desk of my room. But the bed was clean with fresh linens. I will say it was disappointing from an accommodation standpoint. But the location is great! If the other places were open, it would have been a fabulous stay.
I liked that it's location was close to everything. The restaurants and shops that I wanted to visit were in walking distance; it was an enjoyable location. The late check out accommodation was a great benefit for me.

United States of AmericaOur room was in desperate need of a facelift. The furniture was shabby, we had a third of a roll of toilet paper available, a dead fly stuck to the shower curtain, no ice bucket and only one robe in a room with double beds.
The service by the staff was exceptional. Everyone was friendly, and they made an effort to go above and beyond with their service. The location on Michigan Avenue is great for walking to Navy Pier, Millennium Park, the Art Institute, Chicago Theater, shopping, and restaurants.

United States of AmericaParking garage was closed so we had to pay extra to park a couple blocks away. Seemed like only one out of the four elevators wanted to run at time. Disappointed that room service wasn't available also.
The doormen were very nice! Always ready to help us with directions and suggestions. The pool area was so unique also! We loved it!
