We had a suite.. smaller than I would have liked for being a suite but they can't help the building size now. The curtain was torn and so was the comforter on the bed on both items right in the middle needed some upgrading done on the decor would definitely have helped very outdated. A staff was overall great but when I did ask for a couple of things it was hours before I got them and I had to reask. Overall not a bad place just needs a definite uplift little dreary

It was great wish there had been a Jacuzzi I thought there was was looking forward to it. Staff was really nice! The breakfast was great!

A little freeway noise, but not troublesome.

Nothing pretentious, but up to date, very clean, highly functional, great location for travelers. Al, night clerk notably helpful and informative. Newly remodeled older property with large rooms, well appointed.

No front or hall light as you open the door to find your way in the room. Also the bathroom sink was plugged.

so close to freeway. there was too much noise. hotel needs new windows to keep noise out. stay was pleasant. no true complaints except for noise level from freeway and the morning breakfast options. boiled eggs were turning yellow on outside from being too old. same eggs in fridge for 3 days no new ones were put in. the toaster is too old or they need more than one. too many people waiting for bread/bagels to warm up. need more toasters. also need more diary free options or at least for milk- almond or soy . little adjustments can make a huge difference to guest experience.

The restroom door so close to the room door. Beds could have been more comfortable also the pillows could have been better. But overall it was a great spot to stay.

The room is small and a little dark, but, we weren't in our room that long. Perfectly ok.

Location was great! Rooms were clean & we had most everything we needed. For a 1-night stay, it was more than ok! We couldn't get the TV to work, but, when we asked for help, it was very quick! The staff is very friendly & accomodating.

It sat right off the highway, and the area was a little uneasy for walking in the evening. The hotel is a touch run down, but overall it wasn't terribly bad. I felt it was a bit pricey for a Monday evening in a hotel that needs work.

They did try to accommodate my early arrival. I was charged an hourly fee for every hour before check in, but it was better than waiting 5 hours for check in with nowhere to go. It's also only about 10 minutes from the San Diego Airport.

I didn't like the location of the room as it looks out onto the I-5 fwy. The a/c did mostly drown out the sound so I did mostly get used to it. I'd asked front desk about changing rooms but they said they were full and did apologize.

Accommodations are fine and it's clean and it's close to Old Town. Breakfast was nice though very crowded but staffperson/s did a good job of keeping it supplied.

I didn't like that the parking was a bit tight and that our room was next to the busy road.

The hotel was close to our main destination that we planned for. It was also close to Old Town San Diego which made it easy to go and get some food.

We had to pay $16 for parking, after paying more than $350 for the room which I did feel was worth that much. I believe if you pay that much for the room you shouldn't have to pay for parking on top of that. Also they close down their breakfast at 930, which makes no sense. Some people do eat breakfast later in the day. We were rushed out by the staff because it was 930. Was a huge disappointment.

Room was clean and bed was comfy. Facilities were clean as well. Somewhat easy to walk to restaurants near the location.

There are some simple things that could be done to make the rooms more comfortable. My room in particular was very noisy - not sure if others were same - but even putting weather stripping around the door would have cut noise (and light) significantly. Bathroom needed a reno for sure but that's costly, but in the meantime a new shower curtain and some paint would go a long way. I think the air conditioner needs servicing - I like my room cool, and it's always cool in my home. But the air conditioner couldn't find 68 degree. 69 wasn't cool enough but 68 literally froze my nose during the night... it wasn't 68! Came home with an air conditioner cold :(

Staff were great - Ali in particular (thank you). The bed was very comfortable! Having breakfast by the pool. Walkability to Old Town - close and felt safe in daylight hours

There was a dispute over a damage deposit that was supposed to be returned on check out but was not resolved until some months later and required the intervention of my bank. I believe if I had not pursued it I would never have received the money back.

We checked in late, the staff was very friendly. The room was adequate, property was quiet and the breakfast was good. This was our third hotel during out stay in San Diego. The others had more amenities, however, for the price and location to the airport, it was hard to beat. Btw, the bed was super comfy.
