Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaIt's a nice hotel but not 4 star quality. The bathroom is ridiculously small and poorly designed. The temperature in the room was either too cold or too hot. There is no microwave on hotel premises, not even in the in pantry room where one gets water or coffee. Our room view was of a brick wall. On the whole, the stay was disappointing. We will travel to New York next year but we won't be staying at the Kixby.
Lovely staff and very comfortable bed. Great location for dining and sightseeing.

United States of AmericaElevators take too much time and are crowded. Email replay took longer than needed (an AI boot could probably solve this issue).
The room size was great and the shower as well.

United States of AmericaThe sound and weather insulation of the windows were poor. We stayed during the winter season, and the temperature in the room dropped significantly a few minutes after we turned off the heater. Moreover, the sound of the noisy street could be heard from inside the room. The heaters are outdated and too noisy to sleep while running them. The walls and doors are not soundproof, as we heard our neighbors slamming the doors in the morning while we were trying to sleep.
The location of the hotel was amazing with one street light away from the biggest Macy's in New York, and a few blocks away from the Fifth Avenue and Broadway. The subway was super easy to reach to as well.

IrelandNothing to note
Amazing location in the middle of Manhattan, close to all the major landmarks. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, and even made effort to give us a bottle of Champagne on arrival as it was our honeymoon celebration.

United KingdomNoisy external air-conditioned outside bedroom window. Hotel offered to move us but to a smaller room and lot of effort to repack everything so didn't change rooms. Cost was very high with additional 'facility fee' for basic services such as WiFi and bottled water whi h would.have thought would be included. Also still waiting return of $500 ($250 per room) security deposit.

South KoreaThere is a building very close to the hotel. We had to make sure to protect our privacy. The water pressure wasn’t good, but not too bad. Our room was on 10th floor, so we didn’t have problems to use elevator, but some times people staying in lower floor couldn’t get in the elevator when busy time.
The room was the same as the photos on booking dot com. It is spacious, the bathroom was recently renovated. loved this hotel. There’re many nice restaurants around, Korea town is near by. I visited the rooftop and ESB is right there. You can take nice photos, and i hung-out on the sun-beds without having to order drinks, cuz the bar was closed. That was my last night of 10 dayz NY trip. I had really good sleep too. I’ll recommend this hotel to my friends.

IsraelHotel can use a face lift, things are slightly worn.
The hotel is as fine and as described online. The other reviews I read were accurate and still relevant - one elevator does not work (looks like it is permanent) so waits can be long, also there is no way to stock up on water or other supplies. Room is basic and clean, but absolutely no frills, as is the rest of the hotel (lobby, gym), staff was fine too. Generally speaking everything was ok - nothing was great nor terrible. Decent choice in convenient location for tourists.

United KingdomOnly a minor gripe. Of the 3 elevators one was out of action and one was often in use by housekeeping. with capacity restrictions it meant that we sometimes had to wait for space
ideally situated just one street up from The Empire State Building between 5th & Broadway with a Subway Station on the corner giving easy access to the rest of NYC. Spacious rooms in a boutique style
