Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaI wasn't aware they charge a mandatory $30/day hotel fee charge but can be used for food and drinks at their restaurants/bar. The walls, carpet, coffee station, and shower heads looked old and decrepit in my room. I found a hair on the sink when I checked in but didn't make a stink of it. Waiting for an elevator, especially if you're on one of the top floors, can take some time. Elevators are small/cramped, too, if you have multiple people plus luggage.
Security was good, I felt safe. The room was spacious and nice, The views were great, especially from the gym. Bed was very comfortable.

United KingdomWe had a room with an interconnected door to the room next door. Sound from our neighbours was an issue especially the late night passionate moments. The room also smelled of weed when we arrived- which wasn’t great.
Location in mid town great - it felt safe. Views from our room on 39th floor were excellent.

United States of AmericaI was so pleasantly surprised by this hotel! The staff was wonderfully attentive and thoughtful, the rooms were clean and efficient, and the bed was so comfortable (I spelt great)! Great location, too! Very comfortable, great shower, especially coming in after a late fun night. Very relaxing and private.

AustriaRoom Amenities: Some furnishings, such as sofas and the phone, seemed outdated and in need of replacement. Additionally, the lack of complimentary water and a minibar was a letdown. Elevator and Services: The aging elevator was a noticeable inconvenience. The absence of laundry service was surprising for such an establishment. Staff: My experience with the hotel staff, particularly the reception and doormen, was less than satisfactory. On arrival during a heavy downpour, the lack of assistance with my luggage was noticeable. Moreover, being addressed informally and rather loudly as “Bro” and “My Man” by a doorman during one evening was off-putting. Interactions with the reception, whether during check-in, check-out, or inquiries, were consistently marred by a palpable coldness and seeming indifference. The level of unprofessionalism displayed makes me question any future stays
Location: Situated in Midtown, the Millennium Hilton offers an optimal location for both business travelers needing access to nearby offices, and tourists keen to explore iconic sights. The ease of reaching various destinations from here is commendable. Rooms and Cleanliness: The room, located on the 34th floor, granted a breathtaking view of the city, showcasing landmarks like the Chrysler and Empire State Buildings. Cleanliness was consistently maintained. Cleaning Staff: Every interaction with the cleaning staff was a pleasant one. They were consistently friendly and attentive.

United States of AmericaThe hotel is dog friendly. We were initially put into a room that unfortunately smelled like dogs had been there. The staff were able to move us into a room that presumably does not allow dogs.
Property was located within walking distance of NYU Langone hospital. It was clean and the staff were very helpful.

IndiaThe front desk staff seemed to not want guests.I understand shortage of front desk staff in USA.But this is a red flag. The hotel charges $ 300 for 4 days as a non refundable deposit. You can use these in the restuarant /coffee shop but you will not get a refund of unused amount.Effectively this is a $75 a day surcharge.Hidden even to booking.com
Room with a view.good view.Good size of the room and well appointed. Location next to the UN ! Good frontage and resturant.

United States of AmericaOne of the front desk clerks was rude. Apparently water is only provided for guest based on a tier system. I asked for water and she said she would give me one but it would be the last time. First, I did not know of such a policy. Second, no need to speak to me as though i was not a guest, paying more than $2,000 for my stay. Management addressed the issue; however, it should have never occurred.
Location, room and most of the staff were friendly and helpful!

Switzerland- the lobby area would have been better if it was bigger; when delegations to a meeting at the UN arrived, the lobby was full-packed and noisy; elevators were also fully packed and takes a long time to wait - the shower curtain (plastic) should be changed as it is already emitting an odor (but the toilet/bath area is clean)
room size was good, clean and regular cleaning everyday view was fantastic! - lucky to have the view of the river with the bridge and beautiful sunrise!!! location was great - super near the UN building, near restaurants and shops staff were courteous and helpful
