Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

El SalvadorThe room was small
Two bed would have been great, the room was small. I have paid similar rates at other hotels and I get a bigger room, double bed, etc.

CanadaThe mattress wasn’t terribly comfortable, the air conditioning didn’t really seem to blow cold and the elevator….. you could sometimes wait 15-20 minutes for the single elevator that works here. They suggested using the service elevator in the electrical room which seemed pretty sketchy when paying for a premium hotel.

HungaryLocation was absolutely perfect in the middle of Manhattan. Room was not huge, but suitable for tourist like us, spending time in the hotel only during sleeping hours. Beds were a bit soft for me, I am used to harder beds.

United States of AmericaOnly one elevator was working. For. The. Entire.Hotel. Waits frequently exceeded twenty minutes. The elevator -- God bless it, it must have been exhausted -- was slow and kept stopping at random floors. In the end, in frustration, I used the stairs to and from my 14th floor room. Not a fan of that. No room service, despite the fact that you really emphasize your restaurant on the website. Limited hours for both restaurant and bar. No coffee maker in the room, and the front desk doesn't let food or coffee delivery up to the rooms, according to my delivery guy, who had to leave it in the lobby. Where I would have had to descend and then climb fourteen stories to consume it in peace and privacy. It shouldn't be so hard to get something as simple as a cup of coffee in your room, even if you have to outsource it to a delivery service. We are not savages here, people. When I did go to the bar, John from Dublin was exceptional and poured us a couple of fine drinks, with a side of good conversation. I would totally stay here again, with anticipatory joy, if I knew for sure you got these things ironed out.
Clean room, lovely facility, great bed and views of the city. Staff very gracious. Loved the location.

United States of AmericaThe room was smaller than it appears online and more dated than the photos. The elevator refurbishment was a big inconvenience. The room itself lacked proper lighting, the shelves in the dresser were broken and kept falling out. Additionally, the entire room lacked hooks (for towels coats etc) there is only one hook in the whole bathroom which was a pain. There was no fridge or microwave in the room either
I loved the location, the staff, the doormen, and the interior of the lobby was pleasant. Everyone was helpful and kind. Live music in the lobby is a nice touch

United KingdomLifts where under constructions and I get it's something they need to update etc, just annoying in the morning. You had to wait for a lift long time to be able to fit in.
Location is prefect for Central Park and 5th Avenue. It's easy access to everywhere. Room I had was OK, nothing special but I stayed only for one night! I did ask for a quiet room but I could hear a lot of noise from room next door until late at night, so not ideal. Bed was comfortable.
