Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Couldn't figure out how to turn down heat. 70F is warmer than we're used to, but not uncomfortable.
Balcony, jacuzzi tub, kitchen, gas fireplace. Made breakfast in kitchen rather than eating at provided cold continental breakfast.

There was food in the sink when we arrived, I just wiped it out. There is no smoking on the property, but cigarette butts right outside of the premises they should have a designated smoking area.
We got the cheapest most standard room, and it was great for 3 people you could even have a 4th. Jet tub, washer and dryer, full kitchen stocken with basics, fireplace, balcony... pool was great, clean, kinda salty but, we are at the beach people, so it's all good. Staff was so nice the continental breakfast was a great start to the day, they also have board games you can take up to the room, a little shop with snacks, drinks and souvenirs, did t try the little bar but it looked comfy and cute

It was hard to find a tv channel at night! The channels felt a bit outdated. Perhaps integration of netflix by having smart tv’s would be good.
The place was wonderful. Breakfast was good, maybe if there is more budget in the future, items such as eggs, sausages, or bacon could be available.

I’m very OCD and need things clean. This place is one of the cleanest I’ve ever been in. I am usually very uncomfortable in hotels because of my OCD, but this place is fantastic. I will definitely be staying here again in the near future.

Absolutely love the view of the River. The room was spotlessly clean. Love the jetted tub. Could spend hours on the balcony soaking in the view and fresh air. The staff are all very friendly and professional.

The coffee was weak. Seriously, I had to think of something because really this room and place were great for the price, and we didn't have complaints.
The room was nice and cozy. We didn't have an awesome view, but I know they have some options with a better one. I liked the patio and that dogs were welcome, and they had towels at the door for doggos feet. The breakfast was alright, too.

We were only bummed out about breakfast! We got there well before closing time for breakfast and were disappointed that everything was pretty much gone. when we asked the staff if there would be more pastries or something else coming she abruptly said "everything's gone, I have no more". Fixed it by taking a quick trip to McDonald's!
The room was excellent! I brought my daughter and her best friend for spring break and we had a 2 bedroom suite, I didn't expect it to be so nice! Thank you!

This is a favorite of ours. Every room has a kitchen and laundry, which is great for longer stays. Can get pricy but always worth it! Just a short walk to almost everything!

There wasn’t a single thing I didn’t like. This hotel is excellent.
Instantly liked it as I walked in. The guy at the counter was nice, communicative and very kind in helping me. Love that there’s a pool. Love the room, it was really cozy.

Nothing at all! It was perfect!
Very beautiful place, and even though it seemed well loved, it was spotless. My kids are young and they love to be all over the floors and I usually freak out about it. My daughter had light pink pants on and she was on the floor a lot and didn’t get any dirt on her at all. I went by a room that they were cleaning and they were scrubbing it with a brush (hardwood floors) and there were at least 2 people inside cleaning. There wasn’t a single speck of dirt or hair left from the previous guests. I also really found it refreshing that all of the employees seemed genuinely happy to be there and not “here for work and that’s it” and they were so nice and friendly to everyone. Even the maintenance guy outside stopped and said hello. I never ever write reviews… I just don’t have time, but this place was one of my favorite places I’ve ever been to and I travel a lot! I will definitely be back soon!

Would loved to have a smart TV
The towels were soft and smelled great. The beds were comfy and had nice thick bedding. The service was EXCEPTIONAL. Above and beyond. Great space for singles or family. Easy check in and out— was offered very affordable upgrade we loved. Only thing I would change is having smart TVs but they did have attachments for DVD player with pages and pages of options for movies as well as a large array of board games. They also have a mini area with all the things you may want like a snack or advil or a toothbrush. Different flavored water every day. Wonderful humans work for this place, everyone I encountered was very nice and accommodating. I would highly recommend this place!
