Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaRoom 424 was very loud. We could hear everything the ladies in the next room were saying. Also the elevator was directly behind our bathroom, so we had a constant loud mechanical noise the entire stay.
Bed was comfortable and location was great!

United States of AmericaTwo issues - 1) Hotel was closing for the winter and the heat to our room was turned off. Eventually got a space heater, however on the weekend, the heat miraculously came back on - Guess it was too expensive to heat when there were less people in the hotel -- Very annoying. 2.) There is a $25/day amenity fee which booking.com said was included. If everyone has to pay the fee, then it should just be a part of the room rate. Shame on a state owned hotel charging junk fees
Fabulous historic hotel in the Saratoga Springs Spa park. Rooms were lovely, clean and comfortable however the standard rooms are a bit small. Restaurant was very good.

New Zealandstrange with these old hotels, but the TV work's the Air conditioner didn't :( TV didn't work, Air Conditioner did work. Had maintenance up to sort it and they managed to get both working for a short time. But as we were there with friends we weren't really in our room that much :)

United States of AmericaThere was an issue with our booking, We have been coming here for some time and never had an issue with our room. We pre-paid for our room and received a lesser room. The hotel was fully booked so we had no choice but to stay in the smaller room. At check out they charged me again for the room which we had prepaid. They corrected that once I noticed. It was unfortunate as this was our anniversary weekend.
The staff at this hotel could not be more professional and pleasant to interact with. Everyone in the restaurant/bar are extremely accommodating and helpful from the manager to the servers.

United States of AmericaBathtub. Very dangerous for showering. Very high step in to shower and no grab bars. I managed as a 75 year old but no way would I let my husband who is fit but 89 years even attempt it.
Beautiful grounds and liked learning the history of the area.

United States of AmericaNoise travels from room to room! We stayed next to a suite and there were multiple doors in the other guests' space that slammed repeatedly. We could also hear their conversations. I imagine some of this is due to the age of the hotel, but is not ideal if one desires sleep before the room next door.
Having parking included is always a nice perk. The location is amazing and the historic nature of the hotel makes it special.

United States of AmericaThe bar/restaurant doesn’t open till 5pm,the start time of the concert we attended. It then closed at midnight, barely an hour after the end of the show (food service stops at 10 pm),so basically it was useless to us. The tv had no signal.A call to the front desk informed us that the service was down.
The location could not be better if you are going to a concert at SPAC.Set in a beautiful park.Room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The buffet style breakfast was very good, excellent coffee, pleasant and efficient staff.

CanadaIt's important to note that the pool closes after Labor day and so despite paying a facilities fee, this particular facility is not accessible to guests. The bathrooms could use a facelift!
