Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe mattress quality was poor, the mattress sloped and sunk heavily. The front desk staff were not very welcoming and friendly.
The location was excellent! The suite was beautiful and authentic! The food staff (the lady in charge of serving breakfast) was very kind, polite and attentive! The breakfast quality, taste and presentation was wonderful!

United States of AmericaThe property is beautiful and the cats are a bonus, but the inn needs updating and more attention to upkeep. That may be, in part, a staffing problem, but the outdoor patios need attention and the interior decor is outdated and in need of repair. Sitting with coffee or wine in an enclosed Savannah patio would have been wonderful, if it hadn’t been filled with ladder storage, old pots, and dead leaves.
The breakfast was lovely, service personal and friendly, and the afternoon and evening snacks were a nice touch. The upstairs deck was also delightful, and the attentive presence of the owner was of great value. However, the best thing about the inn was its location in walkable Savannah and the authenticity of the house. We didn’t move our car for three days, and we felt like we were actually living in the heart of this special place.

United States of AmericaOne thing I noticed was the top of a few pieces of furniture in my room could have been dusted.
Laurie and Tim were extremely helpful with answering parking questions, directions, etc. Also, the breakfast meals were delicious, my favorites were the quiche, honey buscuits, oatmeal and grits and there was a plethora of choices. The kitchen staff were friendly and I enjoyed talking recipes with both "T" and "T".

United States of AmericaThe room we had (Ivy Cottage) was fine for us (we did not spend a lot of time in the cottage), but the carpet was badly stained. We knew the unit was 2 levels with stairs, but we did not expect a very steep, narrow metal spiral staircase to get to the sitting room and balcony (think lighthouse). Again, it was OK for us, but anyone with bad knees or hips, anyone over weight or unsteady would have trouble with it. Also, with a little TLC, the outdoor courtyards could have been much improved (badly chipped paint on the metal tables, dirty cushions on the chairs, etc).
The breakfasts were wonderful and the kitchen staff was delightful. There is very limited parking in Savannah, but we bought a day pass for $15 when we got to the B&B.

United States of AmericaThe vents could use a good cleaning. Be aware that there are no elevators. If you are on an upper level, do not pack a huge suitcase. The stairs are narrow and steep. If you have joint issues, book a lower floor room.
The courtyards and veranda were wonderful places to relax and socialize. The staff was so helpful, always attempting to make you feel at home. Breakfast, while not elaborate, was adequate and plentiful. The location is premier.
